Hey yoko, about the encoding stuff, I learned that the directions I gave for you to get to the encoding options of Chrome are for the Laptop, Desktop, and Server options. iOS seems to only have an auto-detect option when it comes to encoding, I also read that the chrome devs recommend turning it off after using it for where auto-detect is needed because it slows down your browsing experience when using it to properly load up the webpage. I suppose the best option is to enable it when viewing sites like TFF and then disabling it when browsing elsewhere for faster viewing experience.
