  1. Yeah, you're almost done withe Skip Beat. It's enjoyable, but like I said it stopped at a point I didn't want it to stop. There's so really great stuff after it. I've read some of Hayate, it looks enjoyable, but there is a mountain of stuff. And not all of this progressing forward, the anime has restarted I think or doing side stories. Probably why people think it is gone meh. Code Geass is very enjoyable and yeah it is often called Death Note with Gundams. It's a fair comparison.
  2. Last time I watched Skip Beat was about a week ago on Stage 17, so I'm kinda close to the end of the anime. I'll just pick up the manga when that's done. As for Hayate no Gotoku, I would recommend it if you haven't watched it already. Though I hear it starts to become kinda "meh" after the second or third season but so far I love it. I started on Code Geass because I heard the main characters from that and Death Note are kinda similar so I gave it a chance. So far, that observation has been true. Light and Lelouch have a few things in common....
  3. Sword Art Online is really good, so I would suggest watching it. Skip Beat is good, but they end before some of the best stuff in the manga happened. So I wish there was more.
  4. I finally finished Toradora!, and I gotta say that was the best romance-themed anime I watched so far. I was probably one of the many people who knew how it was going to end, but the trip there was great. And as I may have implied, I could relate to Ryuuji the most. After all, I inherited some of my father's looks, and in my case people have made fun of me because of it. I doubt I need to say what else I liked, after all I'm into romance.

I'm currently watching Skip Beat, Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Hayate no Gotoku, and Code Geass. I might consider Sword Art Online sometime soon, though....
  5. I guess you got me there >.>
  6. The conclusion would have been Light won and achieved the world he desired. Considering everything they show that happens in the time between L's death and where they resume normal time again. That would have been the epilogue. There was not anything missing after L died, so I think it would have concluded with no problems. Everything else they added was unnecessary for the story, there was nothing unresolved.
  7. Not really sure I can agree with it ending there. After all, it started with Light and his plan on becoming a new god. L just happened to be his biggest obstacle from the beginning, and now that he took care of him he could then proceed with his plan with no one (at first) to stop him. With the anime ending at L's death, Death Note probably wouldn't have reached a proper conclusion. It's my opinion, anyway, so don't take it personally

Sad thing is I can't watch Toradora! since my Internet connection is much slower than usual and the Youtube videos of it have been removed. I've been watching Death Note on my phone, and recently I started with Kaichou wa Maid-sama. So far so good on the latter.
  8. Yeah, with L dead a lot of the interest disappears. It was well done, but really should have just ended with L dead. It would have left a great impact and would have been perfect.
  9. I know someone who stopped reading the manga after L's death, and only skimmed through the manga when she finally decided to get back to it. As for me, I like giving everything a chance until it makes less sense than before. I know Light had a plan, and him indirectly killing L just shows how smart he really is. Not that I'm glad it happened. L was pretty much the only one besides Light that made the show so interesting, so I understand how everyone else felt.
  10. Ah you reached that part of the show now. It's fairly down hill from there on. The best parts are sadly over.
  11. Not really. The thought of giants eating humans already terrifies me. You're not the first person to have suggested it to me but it's one of the few things I'd have to turn down that does sound a bit interesting. I did read up on the plot and all and thought that would do for now.

Also, I got through watching Death Note's 25th episode. L's death was to be expected but it's one of those things that can still hit someone hard. Especially since he believed Light to be his first and only friend. Very sad.
  12. Yeah, the back and forth games with Light and L are some of the best. You might like Attack on Titan, it's from the same director of the Death Note anime and it shows.
  13. I really love Toradora! Amazing story with a good amount of humor. Ryuuji Takasu is a breath of fresh air as far as main characters go. Makes me wanna start cooking myself but alas, I get nervous when I feel I will burn my fingers x.x

I'm loving the mind games between Light and L in Death Note. A cat and mouse game where the loser loses his life. That's how I see it so far.
  14. Yeah, I'm fine. Toradora and Death Note are both fine anime. Good to see you trying some other stuff.
  15. Sorry for not being here so often. But still alive. Started on Toradora! (awesome anime btw) and Death Note. Both are not disappointing at all. I may even want a notebook with that cover.

So how about you? Everything ok on your end?
