Well, about the child molester thing. Wes Craven originally planned on making Freddy a child molester in the original, since he believed that's the most evil thing a person could ever do, but there was a whole lot of cases of child molestation being brought to public attention during that time, so it was rewritten for Freddy to be a child murderer. The rest of your points seem pretty valid though.
Let's see here... 1: No jokes, Freddy is like the joker, or Kefka, only better! 2: Backstory, Freddy is a child MURDERER! Not a child MOLESTER! 3: No story, what, the reason he's after these kids is because he was the gardener at their preschool!? 4: Gardener!? He's a BOILER ROOM WORKER! 5: Voice/lines, Freddy has a deep, and demonic voice, and better lines. 6: Removal of awesome scenes, like the vomiting bed, the setting of the traps, ect. ect. 7: Cut lines, what happened to things like the kid saying "God, please", and Freddy saying "THIS is God!" (referring to his glove) 8: Old Freddy makeup was better 9: They lost a LOT of the creepyness! 10: Just a pet peeve, but the rhyme was a bigger deal in the original. There were even more horrible things about it, but enough ranting for now, I guess...
I guess you got to see the remake, eh? Sorry to hear that it was a disappointment... I think the new CG stuff that they used for Freddy's design did look a little ridiculous when I did some searches on him. Ah well...
