Oh wow, I had forgotteded! That would be swell
Omggg I have to finish your thigeh! hahah i go home tomorrow <3
You and Govinda would have a conversation about this Haha I don't remember how it came up, but I started looking things up out of curiosity and I stumbled on it. I like the idea but I got confused looking them up on wikipedia and after a while I was like @_@ lol Edit: oh yeah, I started looking it up because I was looking for something clever to put in my political views portion on fb
Did you get this from an exchange between Govinda and I, by any chance? I described her as a "realist idealist" once. Simply, an "idealist" has an objective view of what the world should be like. It's commonly alleged that either such an ideal would never function, or could never be reached -- that idealism is impractical "Realism" is a general reference to the perspective that what exists is what we have -- that we should accept it, as well as the confines it presents. Thus, when I called her a realist idealist, I was saying that she held some kind of notion of what the world 'should' be, but also had practical ideas as to how to approach it; or at least held some sort of dissatisfaction with what currently exists and the order in which it exists. She is a 'pragmatic idealist'. I'm not aware of it being an actual term, but I liked it.
*random question* I don't understand the differences between Idealist and pragmatic idealist or practical idealist. @_@ I tried looking it up and it's not helping me any haha.
*will start working on your cure image asap*
Orange or no orange? I still need to do the stars on the fingertips and the highlights on the hands if you want the orange; oh and the highlight on the hair. PS I like the orange, but I thought I'd ask if you want anything specific.
LOL. I don't like the thought of natural disasters. When I was a freshman in HS I was told we were super past due for a big one since we literally sit on the San Andreas , and since then I've been paranoid whenever we get smaller ones....like it might trigger the big one :s
Well the thing about this earthquake is that it occurred on a previously unidentified fault, and was absolutely unexpected by geologists. It is miles from the plate boundary, which is really what you live on, and what my city is on as well. So it was unusual. I think the biggest I've ever experienced is a high-five (LOL), though they expect that a 7.something is going to occur on the Wellington fault within the next 100 years. If you ever hear 'earthquake' and 'Wellington' in the same sentence, you can probably tell that my city will be worse for wear, and then you can actually try and hunt me down, haha (wait, why is that funny? :/). Earthquakes don't freak me out though. I'm not sure why. At the end of the day, chances are I won't die, and will just lose stuff. Stuff is stuff.
Yeah we live directly on the fault, and that earthquake was pretty big so I figure it would spread. Our earthquakes lately haven't been that big, they've been small for the most part, the biggest one was around 6. Something so you guys win. I have yet to experience one that causes structural damage. its one of my biggest fears lol
You must be used to earthquakes too, right? Don't you live near the San Andreas fault, or is my American geography really bad? It was a fault similar to that one. I really didn't think it would get much notice outside of NZ, Australia, and maybe the UK.
I heard it on the news and I was like zomg Alpha! What if he got squished in his sleep ;_;
And how did you hear of it?
I'M ALIVE! In fact, I slept through it. It hit a city about an hour's flight away. 7.1 though, so it was huge. But it hit at 4.30am so everyone was asleep, and together as families. No one died, and only two people have serious injuries. Hard to believe really. Problem is contaminated water, apparently. Sewerage has leaked into the water supply.
Richie! U okay there? Earthquake :s
