I'm sketchy about using cheap moves like that. Sure Last Chance isn't THAT cheap, but being able to not die after a big hit seems a bit unfair... unless they have Destroyer, then you're screwed. Oh yeah, so awesome, his attacks. Like I said, his Ex Burst is tremendously powerful when you get a Great. I've tricked the Ghost Luneth mulitple times with Stick & Move and Cut & Run, those are my personal favorites. Swordshower misses a lot for me, they even dodged the final hit once... But Guiding Swipe IS almost guaranteed! (BTW, I noticed something about that name. In FFIII DS, the secret boss Iron Giant has an attack called Guiding Swipe, although I'm not sure.... -_-) Luneth is fast, he has the option of just running away alongside rushing in guns blazing, or dodging! Fayt's a great admin! With time, he'll improve. We should see him shine!
I don't use that, though. I only use Last Chance. Second Chance is far too cheap. I started using him, and I approve. I just went ahead and used the one in the Time Attack first to see some of his full potential. I've got to say: in Ex Mode, his attacks are tremendously fast, and the lag time between them is more than halved. Yup. His attacks don't deal very much damage, but their accuracy is amazing. And the fact that he instantly uses them only makes it better. My favorite - by far - is Guiding Swipe. It's so easy to Wall Rush with it, and what's more, I've only seen it miss a single time, and that was only because the enemy was in Ex Mode and dodged at that split millisecond right before the swords impale them. Well, besides her, I've got the shortest character. =D The short ones are so useful and agile. We will restore it to its former glory!
Yeah, but the Second Chance is cheap. If you have a lot of Bravery in reserve, ALL of it becomes your HP. -_- I hear it may be banned, however. Tidus has a LOT of moves that chain into Quick Hit. His ground moves are OKAY, but your opponent needs to be busy for it to be effective, otherwise, you'll suffer a punishment, Energy Rain especially. Jecht Shot can be the best when timed absolutely perfectly. I found the AI suffers from the same landing lag. So, that brief instant when they land is their weak point. Sadly, it cannot penatrate magic-reflecting moves like Wind Shear and Tornado. You have to time it perfectly. Yeah, he is a lot of fun, likewise, he does remind me of you! But his Bravery game is a little lacking, but that's okay. You attack so quickly, it's almost the same! I noticed that when fighting with her myself. I swear, once, Exdeath was to hit me with Reverse Polarity, but he only appeared above me and nothing happened! Yeah, that would be a sad thing for it to die. I enjoyed reviving it and meeting new people!
I like the Phoenix Down, though. last Chance is valuable. But it takes up an accessory slot, so that's not good... It's certainly useful if you make a mistake. Nuh-uh. Perhaps I should try him next. I get reminded of you whenever I see him. =D And of course Luny is the most fun character to play as! And in terms of Bravery attacks, he is THE most unpredictable fighter. Every single one of his Bravery attacks can be chained two ways. Plus, it's nice being short, isn't it? Some attacks don't even hit you! Oh, and Shantotto. The other day, Golbez, was it, was attaching me with some attack that shoots a straight laser. Shantotto was so short that it just went past me! I can't stand it dying. That was where most of our talking took place, remember?
Yeah, Dissidia's no fun when you have instant killing moves. Fight with your own strength! Have you tried Tidus much lately? I tried Luneth, and actually, he's probably the funnest character to fight with! (I don't even know how I got my Circlet... -_-) Uni, huh? It HAS been awhile...
Hey, I don't plan on using it permanently. Just the success of making it is enough satisfaction for me. It is really broken, though... But I want a good setup without instant-kill techniques. Yeah, the Onion isn't entirely that rare. You're better off than me on exclusive weapons, then. I've only bothered to get Luny's. It's the only one I need at the moment. I think I made the Royal Crown after I luckily got the Circlet form the level 100 Luny Ghost Battle. =] By the way, you have to log on to Uni again. Please? I don't want it to suddenly go to rest again, with barely over 4 posts a day. I spent most of my whole summer vacation there. Ah, nostalgia. =]
I, for one, don't need to be cheap. I WISH I could've said that. Actually, I made it. I had six Onions(all of which I had nothing to do with... -_-) And 16 Healing Orbs(or whatever Luneth drops...) And I just traded the Tyrefing and Royal Sword and it was mine! Also, I was able to create the Royal Crown! This was a most successful day!
I'm not. And my setup works perfectly. If you want a full 9,999 initial Bravery, though, you're going to have to use a Valor Resin, which breaks upon using... Still, I figured it out! And without the Ensanguined Shield. Really? Just... automatically after battle?
You're getting ahead of yourself, Fate. BTW, I just got the Onion Sword.
YouTube - Dissidia Final Fantasy (US) - Ensanguined Shield Setup Look here for another setup that is very, very powerful. I must try this out.
I found that she is very good to use for the Arcade, because the enemies are too stupid to stand a chance against her. Seriously, though, if she has only 3,333 Bravery points with a full Ex Gauge, she can destroy an enemy with 9,999 HP, provided they don't have Last Chance. She attacks once, the enemy loses over 3,333 HP, she enters Ex mode, deals over 4,000 more HP, and retains her Bravery upon finishing to deal another 4,000... So cheap, that Manafont. Hey, all that for you. You should be happy. =] It did take me a while, though. You shouldn't use HP attacks against Chaos when using Cloud of Darkness; they're too slow to take him down. Maybe Fusillade could work, but its aiming is a bit bad if Chaos is too far away. Have you beaten him with her yet? Hey, no fair! I usually get about 80 damage per hit of each shuriken and around 200 for the final attack, with the ninja. And for sage, I get around 800 with Holy and 300 with Meteor. I encountered a Bartz with that much, too. I think he had that Soul of the Destroyer accessory I was talking about. But he usually has The Derelict equipped, too, so he only has about 500 HP. Well, I couldn't because he was blocking my attack. I can't wait for him to attack for long, especially in certain stages. So I have to attack first. Exdeath has the worst. And then once, Chaos kept on jumping into my Turbo-Hit when I was just slashing at midair. Seriously, I got in six in a row, enough to kill him, thanks to Break. I noticed those ones, too, just not the FFIII one, since I haven't played it. I like the air more, though. Of course, Zidane is best at that, not Luny. But eight jumps can still get you to last a long, long time up there. And what's more is that Swordshower, which is a ground attack, can be avoided easily by fast opponents, whereas Guiding Swipe, an air attack, sends swords flying in all directions, sealing any hopes of escape. I have never seen it miss before. I have the EXP to Ex Force ability, which costs 0 CP, by the way, so every time I get done with an HP attack, I gain a ton of Ex Force. Just three HP attacks will completely fill it up. I will help if I can. But I'm only a Luny master, nobody else. I might go after Shantotto next, or perhaps Bartz, but right now, I want to completely master him. And I went through all that trouble... By the way, I thought up of another setup, one that focuses on destroying the opponent straight away with incredible starting Bravery, but you only have a few hundred HP. You just need the Rebellious Soul accessory, coupled with either the Ensanguined Shield or the Back to the Wall accessory, which reduces your initial HP by 95% and 90%, respectively. Since you're near death, Rebellious Soul with boost your Bravery by 30% of your maximum HP, which will be about a 3,000 boost in Bravery. That, together with a bunch of other accessories, will give you a tremendous starting Bravery, though not base Bravery. Still, with the Destroyer, you will be able to eliminate any enemies if you attack first. But I don't know if it's possible to get 9,999 starting Bravery or not. I still need the Rebellious Soul.
I think they mean excess Regen in Ex Mode gives to Bravery. Or does it?
Shantotto is awesome. I appreciate it, but... wow... Well, there I go. I got my accessories, for the most part... So I'll respond to your previous... I tried nothing but HP attack first, but that quickly botched. The thing is, most of, if not all, his attacks can't be blocked... Which sucks. Well, usually 44 damage a hit. And you're thinking "but that's so low!" But get this, the final strike(when I do it right... -_-) can deal 1500+ damage! I encountered a Bartz with... uh, 9999 BRV from the start. The Ex Guard saved me, and helped me win. But... damn. Just block his aerial slash, it's not hard to see coming, either. Stupid AI... -_- There's a lot of alusions towards the other games. If you're like me, who's played all the games, you'll notice these alusions. For example, the Warrior of Light becomes a Knight when he enters Ex Mode, similar to how he goes from Warrior to Knight when Bahamut upgrades him. Terra becomes an esper, and her battle power improves significantly, similar to her Trance ability in FFVI. And Tidus equips the Caladbolg, which deals more damage the more HP he has. You probably wouldn't know it, but that effect was in FFX, but only in the Inernational Version. FF Wiki spots a lot of them, if you're curious. That seems like an unbalance of gameplay. I like being on Terra Firma, but being in the air is useful, too. But the way this game is set-up, you're almost constantly in the air, and half the time, enemy's attacks are set up specifically for aerial assaults. Haha, reminds me of this one time. I had some good Ex Force boosting equipment. So after an Ex Burst, an Ex Core appeared, and in like two seconds I had a full guage again. SOOO cheap. Hopefully, there won't be much for me to grind for, now. Well... except when I start working on everyone else. And when I do, you've gotta help me... -_-
Oh, no! The Strength Begets Courage thing doesn't work!
Oh, I found this from one of Meigumi's posts. YouTube - Luneth vs Sephy
