Faté would sound better when you an accent on your e it's going to make it sound like you're saying "ay" like lay so it would sound like Fatay... Whn your little accent accent is going backwards like é it sounds more high picthed and when it goes forward è it sounds like "ay" but far lower pitched :]... When you have an accent on your a "á" or "à" it makes you pronounce it like "ah"...
