Umm... I'm not too sure. Everyone I live with is home this Christamas (my nan usually goes to Austrailia to spend time with my family over there, but they couldn't afford it this year). Sooo... A week or two of gaming on my PS3 and maybe my mothers Wii, and big dinners. And a heck load of Rennies.
nah, not really. My grandparents are coming down for christmas day but that's about it. How about you?
Ahh okay... are you doing anything over the Christmas break?
about a weekish I think, maybe more. I really have no idea...
Two or three a day? Owwwie... x__x So you get a longer Christmas break then? How much extra? =O
yeah, 7th to the 12th. I'm doing about 2 or 3 exams a day... Ah well, longer holiday I guess
When are the mocks? Before Christmas?
yeah, we're allowed to write stuff down and learn it which makes the whol exercise kind of pointless in my opinion. It becomes more a memory game really. Still, at lweast the mocks only last a week and a bit
I know I know, but if you take note during the practical, you can revise them later? Unless you're just not allowed to take notes all together. =S Ohh... I was thinking of science... not German...
you aren't allowed to take notes in... I think the idea behind it is 'We must ensure that they actually know how to use german properly without the help of books and notes!' but in reality it just forces the student to memorise an A4-ish length of pre-written German text
That is pretty stupid. How do they expect you to remember it? O_o Are you allowed to take notes during the practical?
yep, the in class stuff, no notes allowed. It's pretty stupid though because they just make us do the task before the control, memorise it, and then write it out again during the bloody thing. utter stupidity
Controlled coursework is what you do in the lesson, right? You can do it at home. That was always bad news. Are you allowed any materials (including your own notes) in the lessons?
No idea really, although he does seem to be getting a litlle better which is always good. My main concern about the mocks is that we've actually got important stuff like controlled coursework and science isa's mixed into it which is irritating
Haha, I don't see why people take the mocks sooo seriously anyway. They're important to some degree, being good practice and all for the real thing, but other than that... not much. That sounds uncomfortable... I hope he is better soon. Do you know when he'll be allowed home?
