I didn't know online would be so complicated... then again, I only used it three times. I was pretty good with collecting items throughout the story - most of my time was spent running over to glittering objects and spamming the cross button, ha. Even online with Vicky, I was in a huge debate on whether to follow her or stop by the rock formation or flowers for items. xD; But yeah, that weapon situation sucks. So do you find/get more weapons when you play online, or do you get the better weapons via upgrades? It's possible to beat Demon's Souls in an hour? Heh... I spent over an hour on the first level. What can I say, it's a pretty scary game to keep messing up on. xD; Playing through a game more than once isn't a huge problem for me if I liked it enough the first time. I always find or discover something new on later playthroughs, which keeps the game alive a little longer. I'd love to have my own Knight for my character too. I can imagine it making online a little easier, especially on solo missions, and a tad more personal. ^^
Yeah, I'm not looking forward to getting S Rank in the missions. I picked it up again to play with all of the talk going around about it. Realized that I have 37 quests unlocked, but I can only do 5 of them because I'm only GR 3 right now. I have 3 S Ranks, but I'm going to need at least one more person to help me get a faster time on one of them. I can almost get the trophy for 5 S Ranks. >< And then I remembered how painful the synthesis is having to get new ranks to get new recipes, but only through donating items. Fortunately, I have a lot of items, but the weapons are still not as good as what I bought at the end of the game or found. Even more frustrating is that I have some better weapons for when I get into the 40s, but it requires me to be GR 7+ as well to equip them. >< Though I don't know if getting the Platinum in Demon's Souls will be any easier since you have do at least 4 playthroughs and farm for the items to make all of those weapons. Still probably less time and work, especially since it is actually possible to beat the game in an hour. The one thing that I wish we had and I hope WKC2 has is the custom character can gain their own Knight. But you should be able to customize the Knights appearances and class so that you can make it for yourself, but it is only available in co-op online since it'd be a little odd for you to have it in the story when you're just a tag along. But I want my own Knight that is personalized for me. ; ;
Heh, it's definitely one game which I'll not bother getting the trophies for. I think I'd have better luck on Demon's Souls when I get back to that title. Maybe I'll change my mind later on when I get more involved in the online areas, and as the second game approaches. Really not looking forward to the GR and S Ranking Missions ones. x.x
Yeah I don't think it'll be too bad. I probably don't need the sword skills anymore apart from the stat boosts that I get. But I still have to max out all of the skills eventually for the trophy. The game has the most tedious trophies.
Ahh, so a bit of say... four skills isn't all that bad? I guess with rebirths and finishing up to fifty on my character won't be too bad then. You have more or less what I've started. xD;
Oh, I just ended up go all in sword for a while and then saw Longsword and went with that. I have like 70% in sword and 30% in Longsword and 60% in Divine Magic. Because like you said Divine Magic is really good to have especially in co-op. A little elemental magic I think probably would be good. After I got everything I wanted I just start buying stat boosts from the other skills.
My first character had points going everywhere. I wasn't aware of the level cap or that you had to have a rough idea on what you wanted your character to specialise in. ^^; I've had a really hard time deciding what I want my new character to have. I was doing very well with the Sword Skills, and it was by far my favourite on my last character, but now I'm thinking about going with either Longswords or Axes. Also going to be working on the Divine Magic because that really came in handy when me and Vicky played online. Still unsure on the weapons though... which would you recommend?
Yes, hiding the other games is a must. Shadow's too easily distracted by other games. ^^; Guess everyone is restarting with new characters. I pretty pleased with the skill layout that I had. I just need to rebirth a few times to get the max amount of skill points possible.
I'm sure Vicky can catch up quickly. I know that the second I was strong enough to take on trolls and fell them in a few minutes, I was going up a good few levels an hour, and had loads of money for decent equipment. So it might not be too bad. We may have to conveniently hide her other games for a while though... xD I was thinking about starting again because I messed up spending points on my character because I didn't know what I wanted her to be. Also, I forgot most of the story, heh. But I still have my old character until I have a new, online-ready character.
Yeah, Shadow's starting over from scratch. So his character is going to be really far behind. Though it was like that the time that we co-op'd. I was 36 and his was like 10 I think. I'm still 36 since I haven't really played in a while and the monsters in the new game plus haven't presented much of a challenge to me yet. We can clear out everything for his character. ^^; Unfortunately, the exp is pretty bad when there is a massive level difference like that from what I've seen.
That's a good idea, haha. I should probably try to be more pro-active often as well. ^^; I can't remember exactly what level I am, but I'm sure I'm over 25. Last time I played, me and Vicky played online, and I went up a few levels. I heard that Vicky is starting again though, so unless she still has her other character, then she might be a "little" lower. xD
I tend to wait as well. But I've tried to become more pro-active since I haven't gotten to play with many people because I'm just sitting on the side waiting. As I've found with others that also just wait we tend not to get very far because everyone is passive. ^^; Well I'll see about setting something up. I have to figure out what level everyone is.
No, you're not being pushy, haha. I get shy because I feel pushy when I play online with friends. So I tend to just wait until someone invites me. ^^; But yeah, I think it'd be fun. =D
It's ok, I'm in shy in real life. I just think it'll be more fun to play with people you know, even if we don't know each other super well. It'll still pretty much just be the internet. So it wouldn't be too much different from being around here on TFF. Just swinging a sword. ^^; It'll be fun. I'm not a stranger, right? ^^ You could always just start by visiting my town or vice versa. Hope I'm not being too pushy for you. ><
