  1. I suppose you're right in your comparison to SGs, but what can a private sub-forum accomplish that a public one can't?
  2. SOLDIER doesn't have a purpose really. It started out as some sort of RP club, and at some point some admin who was in it change it into a private subforum.

The thing is, I was only against it because not everyone could make something like that. Now that everyone can, I don't think I would have a problem with private subforums. It's like social groups with posts that add to post count.
  3. Ummm, yes? That's why I'm using past-tense?

I'm just questioning Rocky's SOLDIER thread where he basically lampoons the decision to make SOLDIER public. The way I see it, if SOLDIER has a legitimate (i.e. within forum rules, but also in terms of improving the forum for everyone) purpose, then why does it have to be private? So I say keep it public.

I don't like exclusivity and secrecy.
  4. Wasn't SOLDIER already public when you posted this?http://thefinalfantasy.net/forums/cl...ml#post1275474
  5. Haha. Nice. Did I tell you I saw FMJ just yesterday? I can't remember.
  6. Yo dude, I finally got Inglorious Basterds on DVD today, half the price it was when it came out. I also grabbed Juno, and was halfway to the counter when the half-price bin caught my eye. There I found none other than Full Metal Jacket. You subconsciously made me buy it, and the fact it was $10.
  7. Hey look, I'm on TFF, no way!
  8. Aside from general support for nuclear dissarmament from those countries who actually have stockpiles of nuclear weapons, he has basically said that the US will not respond to chemical or biological attack with nuclear weapons.

Although I could be wrong; this is just what I heard quickly on the radio yesterday.

I think it's good. I mean the only reason other countries seek to build these weapons is because the superpowers, regardless of what other military might they have, are still scared to death of them. By coming out and laying down a strong disarmament challenge, he might actually achieve some level of non-proliferation - surely a goal everybody seeks, as the fewer nuclear-capable states there are, the better.

Plus, NZ is one of the few states which has no nuclear power nor weapons, a total ban on nuclear-powered anything entering our territorial waters, etc. etc., so we have this moral highground that might actually get us noticed for the first time since the 1950s lol.
  9. I don't know what his policy is, sorry.
  10. What do you think of Obama's nuclear weapons policy?
  11. I'd actualy have to agree with you there. I binged on them yesterday, thought they were the shit for some reason, and now it's back to meh. It must of been that lack of sleep.
  12. Meh. They've got some good songs.
  13. How about Weezer?
  14. Sorry, pal. ^^
