Hahaha i don't mind at all, i love deep and meaningful conversations I feel the same way, i do want to move out and be able to provide for myself as well. But right now i think the best thing to do is just focus on providing some additional income for the family until we're all back on our own two feet. Our family has always had trouble coping with debt, and at present we're practically staring down the void of bankruptcy. So any little bit i can do to help out is good. Once everything is settled, then i can return to my original plans of becoming independent. They spent over twenty years providing for me, it's only fair that i help them out in their time of need.
I understand completely. I've delt with a few hardships in my days but losing a parent, especially your mother is about as bad as it gets. And yes, I grew up and matured a lot from it all. I've grown to appreciate the little things in life as well as your family and real, closest friends. I always tell my friends that things like those can be taken from you at any moment, so cherish them and be glad for what you do have. I'm actually hoping to get out on my own eventually, just to be independent and be able to provide for myself, the same way my parents provided for me. Wow, this has turned into a pretty deep conversation lol. Sorry if I kind of overwhelmed you with all of this, I have a tendency to go on-and-on at times haha.
I'm mainly working out so i can be more fit and also to finally shed some of those kilos (i live in Australia so that's why we use kilos instead of pounds lol). The highest i've been was 119 kilos which is like 260 pounds. It's terrible lol. At the moment, i'm just under 116 which is good Yeah, it's always terrible when people in the family pass away, especially someone as close as your mother. My condolences to you and your family. But on the other hand, it does bring life into perspective and show how important family is. Friends come and go, but in the end family are always there for you (well in most cases). I lost a close friend of mine earlier this year in April. I was pretty upset when i found out, and that coupled with my parents' seperation was pretty bad. I ended up staying with my grandparents and that's where i live these days. Not that i have anything against my father, i just prefer the peace of the country as opposed to the constant rush of the suburbs/city.
I love doing anything that'll keep me active and being at the gym and around positive influences really motivates me to work harder. And that's the first time I've ever heard somebody use kilos before. That's pretty cool I wish we used that in America lol. And Parasite Eve is a game under the Squaresoft (now Square-Enix) banner. It's a survival horror game based on a novel with the same name. Very scnientific-oriented centering around mitochondria and mutations. Definitely would recommend it! And yes, my brother and I are extremely close. He was the only brother I grew up with (one lived in North Carolina and another one is much older than me and was living on his own) so was us two back in the day. After my mother passed away 3 years ago we've become even closer and I'm thankful to have in in my life. Yes, he's been to Iraq once and is finishing up his second tour in Afghanistan.
Oh nice nice! Yeah i renewed my membership a few weeks ago after having stopped going for around two years. I figured i should try and get back into fitness after having put on some kilos over the past few months. I love FFVII it's my favourite Final Fantasy and i haven't heard of Parasite Eve 1, i'll have to research it sometime. Aw it's nice that you care so much about your family, especially your brother. Was he over in Iraq/Afghanistan?
I love going to the gym! In March, I finally decided to get a membership to the local gym with a few buddies of mine who have been going and I've gotten in pretty good shape thus far. I love it, it gives me something to strive to improve at. How's it going for you? And as far as games go, I'm not a big fan of the newer video games these days. Ever since I got a PS3, I've been playing all classics. Right now I'm working on FF VII and Parasite Eve 1. My goal is to get them done around the time that my brother in the military returns home in a little over a month.
Honestly, i haven't really played any games for a while. I've just been distracted with going to the gym, looking for work and helping out around the house that i haven't had much time to do anything else. I really want to knuckle down and play through some Final Fantasy games though, either them or Pokemon LeafGreen. I guess i'll figure out what to play soon How about you, what games you currently working on?
I'm sure you'll find something that you love and that you'll be successful in whatever you do. And it's a shame that more people aren't ambitious and trying to seek job opportunities. I'm looking to get a job myself so I can learn how to support for myself and eventually live on my own. And no problem brother, if you've got something on your mind I'll do my best to help out! On another note, what games are you playing these days?
Haha nice, well i'm still pretty young as well (turning 21 in February) so i do have time to make my decisions and figure out what i want to do in life. At the moment though, i'm occupied trying to find a job so i can help support my mum since she and my father split. Thanks for that bro, if i'm feeling down i'll be sure to send you a PM
Yeah that's something I made very clear to myself was to get involved with something that I won't wake up one day no longer enjoying. I'm still really young (I'll be 19 in less than a month) so I'm just picking up as much information as I can. And I hope you're doing well and things are going okay with you. If you ever have something on your mind, don't hesitate to talk to me I'd love to help!
Haha yeah it is, well at least you are doing something that you enjoy I was doing uni for a while but i couldn't seem to find something i enjoyed, and i ended up dropping out.
Yeah, it's a wakeup to the real world that's for sure lol. And yes, I'm doing well so far. I'm a business major so I'm getting my feet wet taking all of the beginner courses in management. I like the college atmosphere though. The responsibility is greater than in high school, but I like being able to kind of work at my own pace.
Ah true yeah i remember that feeling - seems like ages ago though now haha How you doing with your studies - making good progress?
Nothing much on my front either. Just school, school, and more school haha. Trying to make time for myself has been pretty tough as of late you know?
Hey bro, not much to report how about yourself?
