  1. I did? Oh, right. It didn't really cross my mind at the time (happens a lot, so nothing personal). Since we're on that subject, I'll tell you here and now.

I was surprised at just how many men were sent to tie up the loose ends. Phantasy Star Universe called 150 enemies a battalion, so 500 people is just overkill. I couldn't imagine the size of the school, but

    SPOILER!!:
500 corpses on the playground and in the school gives me a pretty good idea that it's pretty big.

The entire ordeal was just crazy. Insane. The amount of carnage was scary in its intensity.

    SPOILER!!:
The fact that Kohana/Chiko and Mashiro were able to finish them all off is also amazing. I knew they could do it, but at the same time I kept thinking my hunch was wrong. The only thing I wished for that didn't actually happen was for Chiko to at least witness the death of the scarred man. It would have been a nice touch, given that the latter gave nightmares to Chiko.
  2. Yeah, though I'm surprised you didn't say anything about the craziness that happens in the last three chapters. Lots of over the top action and insane numbers of enemies. Plus some really intense fights.
  3. Well, I sent you a PM of my thoughts on the story, in case you haven't read it already.
  4. Yeah, I guess Haunting was a lot more frightening than Ghost, which was more comedic. Though Haunting has its share as well. I'm glad you liked it.

I think you'll like the ending, if you haven't read it already.
  5. Nah, during Haunting you could say I was scared. MAYBE just a little. I just love the way it ended, though, was NEVER expecting where the laughter actually came from.

I'll probably be done by tonight. I'm not looking forward to the ending too much (I still remember the ending for Flesh is For Gods, but don't spoil anything for me! Pretty please?) but I'll let you know how it goes.
  6. You're almost done with it. You made pretty good progress. What sort of concern or alert did you have when reading Haunting? Self does get a little emotional. It's difficult to find clever ways making such a speech so you're not overplaying old ground. It is a very important point in his life.

Well the last three episodes get pretty crazy and intense. Not to mention the best action in the series.
  7. I'm down to the final three episodes, and by the time you read this I'll only have two more to read. ^^

I'm liking everything so far. I did become a little alert during "Haunting" but I just smiled when I read how that ended. "Self" was a little touching. Chiko finally made a big decision, perhaps the biggest in his life.
  8. I figured.
  9. Yeah, that was what I was using as my basis when I was doing the transformation. It is also what I was parody when I was doing that episode. The Doctor does really make the scenes come alive with his personality. He pretty much wrote all of his lines himself. I didn't have to think about it when I was writing him.
  10. Couldn't help but think about Sailor Moon in the transformation scene. And I'm actually glad the Doctor is there again. I knew questions needed to be answered, but his personality in general is great.
  11. Yeah, the bank robbery really sets the tone for the rest of the series. That and the exchange between Mashiro and the Doctor. The re-introduction of the Doctor to the story adds that new element of crazy that puts everything over the edge.
  12. I can see what you meant by reckless. I was wondering if it was the same story anymore when I reached the bank robbery in episode 13. I don't mean it in a bad way, though. It was hilarious, actually.
  13. Hooray for extremes. If I ever fall out of my chair laughing even once, you'll be the first to know about it. THAT is a promise. I actually can't wait to see how everything unfolds.
  14. Yeah, an emotionless assassin isn't anything new. But it keeps things interesting. For the most part the pattern stick, though it ends up getting broken in the second half of the series with everything that happens. If the first half is pretty funny and pretty serious, the second half takes both to pretty big extremes. When it is funny it gets ridiculous and when it is serious it gets dark.

    Glad you're enjoying though.
  15. Yeah, though it isn't the first time I've seen something that emotionless, but I was surprised of the identity of the Crimson Angel. I could see your pattern, though, with two funny chapters followed by two serious ones.

Yeah, it's been a fun experience so far which is why I'm already that far.
