You should try out the Crimson Blade. It comes with fire without any enhancing needed. I used it last night and I can actually one shot them with only Lunging Slash without using Inspire. The only thing it is lacking against is the bee. But because of it I was able to get my solo time down from 13:30 to 11:00.
Oh, enhancing with fire makes a lot of difference. With the normal Masters Blade, I was hitting for half their health. Infused with fire, I was taking down over a third. Then sided with Inspire, I could just about kill them without a second hit - I played my hopes on getting critical hits to one-shot them. But yeah. I was playing with my combos yesterday, and made a new 1AC double hit combo. I don't even need buffs to use it because it gets the job done. Buffs come in handy once you go into a whole group enemies or shake them trees. xD
Yeah, that's going to be expected to need fortify. I use it pretty regularly. Yeah I am curious to know how much the fire will do. There is a sword that you can get from a chest in NG+ that has a fire element to it and I think it is pretty good as well for a sword.
I can just about one-shot things in BCII with just a Lunging Slash and with the Inspire buff. Flame Slash (1AC) and Moon Slash (2AC) don't make a difference because I still have to double hit everything anyway. I need a better weapon and I need to enhance it with fire, and I think I'll have it in the bag. I have to use Fortify, or I'm as good as dead if I get ganged up on. ^^;
You won't be able to one-shot things with a non-AC consuming skill in BC2. Not even I can do that. But I found a good method that should work for anyone. You do need good armor for defense and haste and fortify, but that's it. All you do is build up AC to max and then combo afterward on enemies. Just do a two hit combo, it'll only consume 1 AC if you have your first being a 0 AC skill. But since you're killing you'll be able to get back a AC most times and can drag out that 1 AC for like 3 or 4 kills. So you can go most of the quest on 15 AC. Also you have to spawn the bees. I can complete the quest in 13:30 minutes with one pass. There are 35 monster spawns plus 15 bees so exactly 50 monsters. The rest is just keeping your defense up and speed so you can mow through quickly.
I like to mix it up a little, haha. I like levelling up in the game and soloing quests. I played Best Served Cold like... twenty-thirty times in a row one evening and got tired of it, but I couldn't solo/team up anything better at the time. ^^; I have my hopes on Boot Camp II at the moment though. I just got a new sword, and should be able to one-hit things when I give it a go tomorrow. xD
You can't really waste hours in NG+. Even if you're just fighting you're netting something. NG+ is required to be completed eventually, even if you stop now. Because you're going to need to unlock the items that it does when you get NG+. So that alone is important. The free GR7 and GR8 weapons and armor are valuable since it is going to be a long time before you're going to be able to synthesis them yourself. As for the exp and gilda rates. I can't be certain since I don't level in single player. Single player is too slow and too inefficient for our levels. The things that drop in quests are a lot more important and most of the things you need for a platinum can't be gotten in single player. They are found exclusively in quests. Considering I can get 2 lvls an hour in a quest that is going to be better than anything you find in single player because your party members are eating your exp. That is one of the big reasons soloing in quests is faster, because your party isn't stealing your exp. I got the 100k gilda before I finished my first playthrough, but I was super thorough and fought everything. So I sold stuff and got a lot more stuff than you guys since Shadow and you sort of sped through a little. Gilda is something that doesn't come very easily. But it also depends on what you've done with the money. If you spent a lot of it then that is part of the problem. For the most part you're just going to want to save your money until you get to 10 million. Afterward you can spend as much as you like. Money is too difficult to come by even at 50k an hour in later quests.
I think I wasted four hours in NG+. D= Please tell me that once I clear it, exp and gilda rates will go back up to normal? The figures Vicky is giving me appears as if you get half the exp and a little less gilda than you would if you'd stayed on the clear save. >< Otherwise, it means soloing harder quests hundreds of times just to get 100k gilda. >< Grinding in Frass and Van Haven was a lot more fun for me than soloing quests. =(
Yeah, I don't know why they make a limit on it knowing that there are so many items. It is not really that fair especially since there is so much that you can only make and not actually find. The upside is that a lot of the weapons are made through other weapons. So they'll get consumed and free up space. Yeah and in the second game we'll have to deal with a Black Knight that will actually want to kill us unlike this time. I do wonder what is up with Leonard and that almost faintly spell he had. Perhaps some foreshadowing of a darker side to the use of the Knights. It would make things a little more interesting probably. I made to 300k, that's true. But it is a lot of work.
Yeah, I'm going to have to work on my GR. And gilda. That's more or less the plan now because I don't have a story to worry about. I need to possibly sort out my equipment storage if anything before I get to work because it's on the eighteenth page, and I can see myself going over that quickly. Really, the storage should be much larger with all the armour, weapons and accessories you can buy and create. >>; I finally finished it yesterday. You know, it was an alright ending, but only because I know there's a sequel. I was a little annoyed about Kara, but apparently it's not all as it seems with her, so I'll wait and see. I also thought that the ending would be a little different than what is was, like perhaps the party heroes would perhaps have a closer relationship with the castle and Cisna. Lots of FFXII deja vu. xD 300K shouldn't be too hard, right? ^^;
Well you can solo exterminator right now probably. I was doing it at 38 and breezing through. I had the advantage of the 2h sword, so you won't probably be able to do one shots, but you should still be able to get through in like 20 minutes. Once you beat the game definitely. Exterminator II, I don't know how possible it is solo it. I don't know how much items take up your time to use. If you use times it would probably be quite possible, but consuming to do so. Yeah you should be getting close to the ending if you're talking about the ruins. I don't want spoil anything so I won't really talk about the story until you finished. I don't remember the order of the events since when I finished my second playthrough I was skipping cutscenes. But there were certainly some points that seemed convenient to have happen. But there are moments that are really good and tense. Shadow might have told, but it looks like we might not be able to do GR7 quests. I tried to get him into Boot Camp II a GR7 quest and said his GR was too low. Now he may just need to raise his GR a rank or two and you don't have to be GR7 or it could be that those quests that are not bought are special. I don't know. It hasn't been fully tested, but the leaning is that you probably won't be able to do GR7 quests until you are GR7 as well, which is 300k total.
In that case, I'll make sure I'm a high enough level in time for Sunday! I want to be able to solo Exterminator so I can rebirth faster. I've almost finished the story, according to Vicky. I'm looking forward to the ending tomorrow. xD Already I've had a "Wait, what?" moment and I've not entered the ruins. I think it's funny how certain characters pick their moments to act suspicious to add in another twist of events. Don't get me wrong, I'm really loving the game, but it does feel like the script writers have started to desperately make these interesting twists which don't really make any sense. xD;
Yeah, it also doesn't help that I did my full combo that normally does 1400-1600 damage and only managed 900 damage and I didn't even see the HP drop. So it'll require a group effort. Up side is the exp is awesome, 250 exp a kill at lv 42. Yeah it is faster as a group. I did the same thing for a while and then started exploring realizing that there was something more to it. Yeah. ^^; It's ok.
Ouchies. I guess it'll be easier with a group? @_@ I spam the conversation and still can't do it. ^^; I'll try again in a bit though, and keep an eye out for those trees. I think I S Ranked it on my old character, but again, I was with Vicky. Shame that it doesn't count, but oh well. I have a couple of pages bookmarked from there, haha. Just never found the main page (read: didn't look). ^^; But thank you! ^^ Oh, that's what you meant! Sorry, I read it wrong. xD;
Well eventually I think we are going to need someone that can take a hit. I reached GR7 last night and tested out some of the quests. The exterminator wasn't pretty easy up until I reached the boss. The boss was doing 100+ damage a hit to me. And that was only 36+ level advice. Yeah unfortunately, the trees are random, but if you can find them it helps to speed things up greatly. And I agree the whole timer thing is a little annoying since for Boot Camp you have to talk to the guy twice. With most quests you don't need to talk to the guy. But just spam through the conversation. White Knight Chronicles Wiki - Here is the link for the wiki site. It is not a complete guide for White Knight, but it is pretty much better than you're going to find anywhere else almost. That is quite possible that you're the same heights. I'm glad that you think my character is cute. ^^ That was what I was going for with her. As for small and growing, well she's flat as a board almost. ^^; So between her height and size, she ends up looking like a children. So she's sensitive about that and insists that she's still growing and that she'll eventually fill out. ^^; And you put her next to Shadow's character which is more than fully developed. It only points out her under development. It's a complex. ^^; But she is very cute.
