Well it has a menu interface similar to the Wii but it looks more fancy like, and it has a thing called a miiverse which is similar to twitter and you can see what people can post on the menu screen. the miiverse appears on the TV while the main menu appears on the TV (you can swap them around though). The miiverse has different communities such as ones for individual games (its like a forum) and you can type stuff down or draw a picture on the gamepad (theres a stylus you can draw with). The games are sure impressive, there is nintendoland which is a theme park attraction with nintendo themed games you can play (and they are addicting), some games run in 720p quality, while others utilize full 1080p, either way they are gorgeous in quality. The system does come with an HDMI cable (well it did in my deluxe box, not sure about basic set but I imagine it does). The Wii U features netflix streaming which can be done either straight on the gamepad or to the TV, it has hulu plus, and its coming out with a TVii service for watching TV with (it works with tivo from what i saw in the trailer, abc, and you have the option to purchase the stream on hulu). it plays all your wii games, you can play downloadable classic nintendo games and other systems like sega, atari, neogeo, and it also has downloadable wiiware titles to download too. the Wii U version of the shop is eshop and you can download full Wii U games to your harddrive, and there are indie games as well. hows that sound from my description?

The main idea was that I've been showing how well i've been doing in my CST class and my dad saw what I was able to do when I helped recover his data off his laptop that can't access the Vista OS, he had to get a new laptop.
You are so lucky! To get a PS2 my brother had to paint the house exterior - have you been doing a lot of chores lately or did your parents just want to see your face light up?
I got Nintendoland which was bundled with the system (deluxe package), pretty fun title. I also transferred all my wii stuff such as game saves and vc downloads.

Oh thats fine, nothing to be concerned about. Crazy story time - my parents bought me a wii u over this thanksgiving week (didn't ask for it or anything) i did express my interest and i didn't think they'd actually go and do it haha.
