Yeah the group is getting larger. I was joking about making a TFF guild there, but if we actually managed to get a few more people it might be worth something. Social group is nice, but you could always make a club sub-forum as well. I find that I'm more likely to keep up with something if I can see when posts are made. Especially considering how invisible social groups are.
I see we've got a few more WKC players, haha. How about a social group so we can all group together? =D
I'm not saying you need to play past the fourth rebirth. You just rebirth a fifth time to master thing out immediately and revert back. Then you make your build the you want. You wouldn't have to play through the rebirth again. It is still going to be only 4 rebirths in the end. But either way, if you found something that works for you go with it.
No, I know. Just for me it's easier to master two things per rebirth to try out different weapons and classes so that in the end, I know exactly what I want to do/finish up in. I'm aware you can rebirth as many times as you want after the forth, but I'd rather not - I just want to finish up knowing exactly what I want to do. I didn't play the game very well either, so didn't get to test things out on the other characters. Perhaps on my next rebirth, I'll stay as a mage and and master something else too? Now that I've mastered Staffs, Divine and Elemental Magic, I know I won't need everything, so I'll have enough points left over for something else. Already, I have four skill sets mastered, and I'm on the first rebirth. I could keep going as a mage, as I reeeally am enjoying being one (who'd have guessed that I'd actually like it?), but I want to test out the others as well. It's going past pretty quick, so there's a possibility I'll be something different on Sunday.
Yeah, I do Sprogs with mage, but as I said before you don't have to do that at all. You can play what you want and get it all done on the last rebirth without interrupting your playing. If you play as a mage you'll need to get used to it because you'll be that when you're playing with us on Sunday. Or if you pick something else you don't want to play. You'll be playing that on Sunday. It's better if play something you want and know how to and just wait to do the mastering later. Not to mention you'll have to spend points in Divine so you'll only be dividing your attentions anyway.
Ahh, cool. I'm thinking of going mage then, and get it out of the way. Do you recommend any quests to do to get this over and done with? Sprog Clearing is apparently easier as a mage, so maybe that? Hopefully I can do it before Sunday, if not the Sunday after so I can pick something mightier. 8D I'm just going to master everything in the first rebirths. Two skills per rebirth, and I'll be done by the forth one. It's just difficult to decide on the two skills to learn at the same time.
Its ok, that's why I have Shadow. He's my link to you. ^^; We mostly just farmed for materials rather than making much progress further. Though we're able to duo BR2 with no problem. You can always do what I'm planning on doing. I'm keeping as a mage more than like through all of my rebirths and when I get to the last one I'm just going to save up all of my points. Once I hit 50 I'll master 4 skills and then rebirth to master the other 4. After that I'll revert my save before all of that and spend the points the way I actually want to in order to complete my build. DH seems to enjoy tanking, but is aware that she needs to master the other skills. She may do what I'm doing since I told her about it. As for staffs, they work with elemental really well. So just do them together if you wish. But you don't actually use your staff. You just attack with magic and make use of the staff skills to enhance your magic. Unless mage turns out to be really bad past GR12 I'll be mage to the end.
I probably should have said something sooner about Sunday. I had every intention of joining you and DragonHeart, but something happened and video games were the last thing on my mind. I'm going to do some catching up this week. I'm literally 100exp away from my first rebirth, and I'm in the process of deciding what I'd like to do. I want to pick something that will benefit us as a team though. I know I want to get Elemental Magic out of the way, but can't decide between Spears or Staffs. I know I'm going to HATE staffs as I'm more of a run up and slash 'em girl, but it'd make more sense in my head. I'll also have Divine Magic for healing and buffing. Do you and DH have any plans as to what you're going to do next? Or, rather, what are you both doing at the moment? I'll try and choose something which'll help us.
It was a little surprising, but I recognized the name from your list of friends. Besides having people pop into my town is not that unexpected. So it is not really a big deal. He ended up helping us out getting through BR2 a lot faster. Should be a lot easier to get to GR9 now.
Hey, sorry about my friend joining if you really weren't cool with it. Coming back from a quest to find a stranger hanging out was probably a tad weird... I met him on another forum, and he's been playing a lot longer than any of us, and he offered to help me with item hunting back when I was talking to him about the game. I wasn't expecting him to join us. ^^; *feels bad*
Oh, right. ^^; If someone enters your town while you're questing, it's not a problem. You can set it so that only one person can do the quest when you set it, so it'll be just you. Also, I don't think people can join a quest after standby mode, so as long as you're speeding through that, it's unlikely someone will join. In some ways, that's why soloing from the world map is better.
I did say that there are 35 respawning monsters. Meaning that as you go around if the time is long enough they will respawn. But at most there will only ever be 35 monsters on the field, minus the 15 bees in the trees. You can certainly kill 100 of them because they keep respawning. I know exactly how many there are because how much I've done the camp and it is always the same. There is no variance that I've had yet. Always 35 plus 15 bees. Yeah room search probably the way. If you stayed in your town and left it public anyone can find it with the right combination of searching. Though it is possible that someone you've quested with in the past found it as well. Shadow likes to use my hometown so it is possible to make use of other people's towns even if they are not using them. Still it is pretty cool that a bunch of people dropped in. I'm sort of afraid of that happening while I'm doing my questing. I want to solo, but I'm afraid someone will enter the town and join my quest. Hasn't happened yet, but who knows. I suspect that the higher and more advance your town becomes the more likely it is to have visitors since high level towns will appeal to players.
My town was crawling with people for a few hours. First room got maxed, and people came and left for ages, and a few members took the party to room twenty. I did a quest with someone and chatted for a little bit. I had to leave for dinner and mum wanted family time, so I came back three hours later and no one was there. Sad... =( The friend I made said he'd found my town via room search, and assumed everyone else had done the same and got friends to join. My visitor list isn't showing everyone who came in though - I noticed a few names missing. Anywho, my town had its moment of fame, so I can die in peace. Joke. But yeah, I think it was a one time thing, unless I leave the game on again next time I do chores. ^^; Only thirty-five? I'm sure there's more than that. I killed a hundred-and-twelve enemies in there when I ran through the place. I can run around the rock in the middle three times before I quit, and I kill everything in sight.
Your town becoming popular? Or is it some random people making use of it? I know I jump around towns looking at stores and availability of items for me. But 13 minutes is a good time. I tend to leave though so I get the full 50 monsters each time, since there are only 35 respawning ones.
Yeah, I'm on my way to picking up the Crimson Blade. I've almost finished the Lagnish Desert. My solo time isn't bad. I can do it in about thirteen minutes, but I stay for the full thirty to grind. Ten people have been in my town in the last ten minutes, and more coming. o.o;
