Not selfish... self preservation. There isn't anything wrong with focusing on you, and more people should learn from your example. Love is messy and shouldn't be taken as lightly as some people do. You do what makes you happy, and there isn't any need to apologize for that. Good for you girly! ^_^
Hmm, I'm 22. I realized about a year ago that I could do without love and still love life. I learned about the hardships of love at a young age. I almost lost my life over it. It isn't worth it for me to try again. I'm still young and have a life I need to sort out first. Until then, I don't see myself loving anyone but myself or my job for a long long time. Call it selfish or whatever, but it's what makes me happy.
Hehe... I am 28 yrs old and still holding on to the slim hope that real love is not a fallacy. It would be easier with a great job to take some of the pressure off though. The drama can keep it's distance from me as well though... I hope! :/
Meh, I can live without love. The love I have for my job and myself is enough for me. The love of another person can wait. To be honest, Relationships are full of drama. I can do without. I am happy being single.
You are so right about that. There are few things in this life that can make a person truly happy, and people always seem to focus on those things that are --more or less-- unimportant. Work in a job you love, find someone you love who loves you back, and take care of yourself and the ones you love. Do that and happiness is never going to be far off. All the drama and hard work it takes to get to that point is more than worth it.
Thank ya. I hope everyone finds their own passion eventually. It would suck to live a life with a job that you hate going to everyday. If you don't like what you're doing, get out. Life is too short to do something you hate. It might take a while to find what you're truly good it, but the wait and challenges are so worth it.

That sounds like so much fun!! You have an interesting job! The coolest thing I ever did was work for a publishing company for a few weeks in high school. The internet access is definitely a huge bonus though!
Haa, my job is all mostly online. I have access to things people don't normally have access to. It needs to be done with an internet connection. Anyway, I'm the Security/Ground Operations Assistant with Sunwing Airlines. Security being the main part of my job. It's a co-op position right now, but I'm hoping that it'll grow into a great opportunity in the future. Since I'm in school for Aviation Management, this is something I would like to get into. I see a lot of the behind the scenes of an airline, and the airport in general. I love it. I work at Pearson Airport in Toronto.
I would've been strangled if I ever went online at work, but then again I have mostly worked as a waitress. I never had the time to think, much less talk to people. hehe What do you do?

It's been pretty fun getting it all out. I missed writing and am so glad I was able to start again. I just hope I can get something posted before the end of the year. What else do you do in your spare time? Besides going on forums and RPing?

I know what you mean with that one. I don't talk to many people so my responses seem forced at times, and having the help is wonderful. I don't mind at all, it's become fairly generic actually. A man who was abandoned at a young age finds out about his crazy background after meeting a strange old man and a pretty girl. It's pretty much going to be a tragedy, but kinda bittersweet. I plan to post at least the first book in the series when I have enough of it finished though. Probably one chapter a week.
