Yeah its not bad. I dont get to often teach him though, only through band practice on a monday. The thing that I like about it though is that he learns quickly and practices at home. So hes already on his way to becoming an excellent guitarist. I taught him the blues scale the other day. He memorized it and now he can improvise his own solos. I find that teaching the blues scale and have kids make up their own solos using the scale gives them large amounts of inspiration and encouragment since they are doing something by themselves. Its how I learnt to solo. That and practicing a lot of Zakk Wylde techniques.
Nice! Epiphone instruments are great... often don't get the credit they deserve... I've got an epiphone les paul classic there... great guitar. and recently got an epiphone mandolin. the quality on it is great considering it was mass produced in china lol I got a strat around 3 years ago. So that's my baby haha I must throw some pics up actually of a few of them. aw man teachin kids! I did it for a couple of years in secondary(high) school. good experience how you findin it?
I have a epiphone SG400-black. Its quite old now but still plays very well. Im playing with the school band (im I.T support, i was asked to join the school band haha ><) now im teaching kids to play guitar!
