  1. My main party is is the six characters you start with (Marche, Montblanc, a human, viera, nu mou, and bangaa). I kept most of them as their starting job, only changing the human to thief. They were my main battle force. After they had learned all the abilities available at the time, I would switch them. Now I have three of each race, and most are different jobs. My original 6 are now sent on the dispatch missions because they are the strongest, and the extra characters are used as replacements when one of the originals is out.

Keep in mind the laws of each battle. Spoiler: As the game progresses, the number of active laws increases. I am up to three laws. The most annoying combination is one where I couldn't use Attack, Skills, and Color Magic. I managed to win using Techniques and a Time Mage. It took a long while, but I managed it.
  2. Hey Michael sorry for the late responce, very rude of me. Just wanted to say I'm about 10 hours into Tactics Advance and I'm loving it. A little disapointed that Marshe and Monteblanc dont change costumes like everyone else, but that's nothing really. Like you said it can get quite repetative just battling, but it's strange how addictive it can become. Just out of curiousity, how is your party set up? I'm still in the early stages so i'm still figuring out good combinations of job abilities, so it would be good to hear what others are like.
  3. I am half-finished with FTT Advance. Each race has certain jobs they can be, and abilities are learned through the equipment you purchase or receive (like in FFIX). It can seem repetitive, being "Battle, battle, battle, cutscene". It's story is very good so far, and the use of colors is much better in Advance than in the PS1 version of FFT. The background of the original FFT was quite dull (in my opinion), and Advance is very vibrant and vivid. And battles don't last as long as in FFT. I have spent close to an hour on one battle in that, as opposed to 10-15 minutes in Advance.

So far, it is a good game. I am 47 hours in, and as I said, only half-finished. I hope you enjoy it!
  4. I've never played FireRed or LeafGreen. It's a real shame, they look like they'd be really fun. I guess i'll have to make do with the original until I can find a cheap copy online.

Oh I remember the cards with the dot codes, I had a shiny Charizard from one of the sets, but it went west with the rest of my old cards when we moved. They'd probably be worth quite a bit now too.
  5. I have Sapphire, FireRed, and LeafGreen. I like how FireRed and LeafGreen combine the original 150 with some from the 2nd Generation. And then, being able to combine FR and LG with Sapphire to make an even better Pokedex.

Ooh, all this PokeTalk makes me want to bring out my box of cards. I like how some of my cards have those dot codes on them. I bought an E-Reader just for them.
  6. Ah sorry for the late reply, but that's cool that you got to go in tournaments. I used to play a bit with my younger brothers but I don't think i'd go too far playing against those with skill. The videogames are the best though, Blue and Heart Gold are my favourites.
  7. No problem. I had trouble a couple times when translating Pokemon cards. I still have mine. I used to battle them, though I was only ever able to enter the auxiliary tournaments (I was too old for the main ones). I prefer playing on GameBoy to playing with the cards.

No offense taken. I get that a lot.
  8. Oh thanks for clearing that up. I wish I could remember my French lessons but that was a while ago now. I hope all goes well for you when your sister arrives, it must be nice to be the saner sibling. (No offence meant)
  9. "Stordiraggio" means Confuse in Italian. And since it is a Gengar, most likely the attack is Confuse Ray or something to that effect. If the card says "Lancia una moneta", then flip a coin.
  10. You guys must be running out of variations of 'alpha' by now
  11. I am glad you liked it.
  12. Death by Barbie Doll? Never in a million years would I have come up with that
  13. Thanks, that really means a lot. I am glad that someone actually reads my work. I will be sure to post more often. Again thank you!
  14. Hey Michael I just wanted to say I really enjoy reading your game reviews and I appreciate you putting them up here, its been a while since I read a new one
  15. thanks for the offer i added you too
