Haha... Not a problem. I like seeing what you come up with! Are those fractals that you used in the background? Because that's another thing I have yet to fully master...or use decently for that matter. I like the textured effect that it gives off, and the lighting behind the render is a nice touch. It's made even better from the fact that you manipulated the render and made it darker, so it makes Vanitus more mysterious and imposing...and the orange colors around makes him look a bit "hellish" too. That's awesome. Again, the font is a little subdued (if I wasn't looking hard enough, I wouldn't have even noticed it there...), but I LOVE the style you went with! And though I wish it did stand out a bit more, I don't know if I would like it in another color. :/ Sorry...I went in circles on that one... And yep! I am indeed entering, and fully prepared to get my ass handed to me by both you and Fate (if you're entering, that is)!

That was it's main intention~! Mwahahahahaha! Are they really? I just thought it was a little too lacking in design. It didn't seem that everything was filled. I used the orange from the eyes and the purple from his skin for the background. How the heck did you notice the abstract brushes though? You have some good eyes, lady! xD Thanks, I always differ for my banners now. I used to make them at around 550 x 200 but I've mixed it up a little lately. =) Oh, and I stole the black border from Fate's recent work. xD Yeah, the text does seem... meh. Always the graphic designer's worst enemy, isn't it? But, you're definitely right. Placement and colour is key but I never know what colour to use. I'm going to go back to it and make the changes! Those eyes and that devil grin are gonna haunt my dreams tonight... No, but seriously: Those colors are FANTASTIC!!!! Nice and saturated, and yet not overpowering to the eye. I love the splashes of orange to help draw the eye to the center. I also like your use of the grungy/abstract sort of brushes! I still suck at using that kind and making it look like it's a coherent design, so you're leagues ahead of me, young sir. It's a great size for a signature, and I like the black border running across the top and bottom! Though I can't see it when I "view conversation" to post a reply to you. Only thing that I really think needs improvement is the font. It's a little on the simplistic side and is a little subdued in contrast to the other stuff going on in the banner. I would try incorporating a dark purple or and orange color to help it stand out a bit, but if you like it, then it's all good. So yep. I lurve it. Great job, Mr. Mage-type person!
