I apparently missed your birthday. Happy birthday, you're adopted, and we're having meatloaf for dinner. EDIT: THIS reminds me of you.
Rumour mill says it was Brett. Always knew he had a thing for me.
hahaa, well um it is a possibility
Was this "anonymous person" you?
so, PRK9 Swimsuit Calendar was discussed in chat the other day, an anonymous person said: "I'd pay to have Alpha on january in a speedo". Just thought you should know
The land before time is the best animate movie ever made. Hands down.
there is no freedom of speech and religion in TFF, sadly and lol! I see what you did there
Why did this thread close? I was going to ask why I was forced to hand-draw Tibet onto my little world globe I was given as a gift once. But I managed to answer that myself: "Made in China".
Sounds pretty choice - so, you're still at home then? I am, but it means I don't have to pay for food (or spend time cooking it), so it's pretty useful. I still have to pay for travel/clothes and some other expenses, but I can handle that well enough. I want to go flatting at some stage, but I want to make sure I pick the right people to go flatting with. My brother learnt that the hard way. Mad respect for wanting to help the disabled. My mum was always telling me to get a job with the organisation responsible for looking after them; she thinks I'd be good at it after looking after my little brother. I didn't for two reasons: firstly, I found a different job; secondly, my own brother was hard enough work haha. I'm not really sure what I want to do with my degree. On the one hand there is Development Studies, which is a sub-set of human geography and basically asks the question of why the world is incredibly unequal. The problem with that is that there aren't a great deal of jobs. I mean, it would be awesome to help out in whatever capacity, but at the end of the day I'll need to earn money, and a lot of that is volunteer. Then there's my perspective on the issue of 'development', when it comes down to it, it should be whatever people/nations want for themselves. By taking an active role in it, it's just disempower them. I also got invited to do post-graduate human geography (in a more strict sense, like studying cities and populations) after scoring 90% in an essay. Once I've got undergrad under my belt I've got the next step, which is choice. In terms of plan B's... haha, well it would be nice to have one. I worry sometimes that I put my all eggs in one basket, but I just reason that as long as I study what I like, and work super hard at it, I'll get somewhere enjoyable. Long VMs ahoy!
I study Business Administration up at my university. It was kind of a "not really sure what I want to do with my life but it's a broad enough major so I can do whatever" decision haha, but surprisingly, the school I go to is one of the best business ones in the nation so it all worked out. I have 2 years until I get my batchelor's degree, and after that my university has a 1.5 year M.B.A. program (your version of an honours I think?), so I'll just stay in school and get my masters. No moving across the country to study, no kids to feed, bills to pay, women to marry, and the economy is still bad so what better time to get it then now, right? At least now I kind of have a better idea of what I want to do though, for my masters I'll end up emphasising in healthcare. At first I wanted to do some kind of pharmaceutical rep job, but after watching a documentary about people just pushing drugs for profit regardless of illness or need, it really turned me off to that kind of job. I mean yeah, I'm kind of superficial and want to make money just as much as the next guy, but to me that's crossing the ethical boundaries of taking advantage of the unaware. If anything, I want to have a job of working with special needs kids and adults, like a CEO position of what I am doing now. If that fails, I can always go into real estate hahaha. My parent's friend makes six figures without a college degree selling houses, and she said "the door is open anytime," so I still have a plan B! I think that's really cool on what you want to do with your human geography degree. I can't remember exactly what it entails you to do but I remember reading a convo from you and Govinda about it and how you can use it to help out people in third world countries by being their advocate of sorts. +respect.
Ugh. That's exactly what I want, but I know that inevitably, once I get summer, I'll say the same thing after about a month and a half. What do you study at university anyway?
I can't wait to be back in college, so facking bored working/getting schwasted every day. Can't believe I'm saying it, but the truth hurts. How are ya?
How goes you, sir?
