Yeah, I totally had no idea as to who or what the voice could have been/belonged to. All those times I've played through FF VII, and I just kind of thought someone else was speaking to him...somehow... Heh... Makes sense that it's his subconscious.
I began a new file of Final Fantasy VII today. I was going to create a thread about the mysterious voice in the first mission that warned Cloud as to possible theories. But I made sure there wasn't a thread already done on the subject matter to which I found your thread. I had thought it might have been his subconscious and that is what others had replied in your thread as well.
She called tonight while I was playing the Resident Evil card game with my friends. What is causing her troubles is the base being high, elevation wise. She has lived all her life at sea-level and the change in altitude is affecting her body. She's going to try to continue but if her body gets worst than she may have to go. As to where she would go. I suggested to her, her dad's place. There she would take student loans out to go to college & maybe try to get some financial aid from different places. That is if she can stay with her dad. From what I gather he wants to make up the lost time with her so I see her living that a good chance.
^^ Hey Zargs~ Just came by to check if things with your GF are going okay. It's been a few days... Have you heard from her at all? How is the situation about her knee going? Heh... Sorry if I'm being nosy.
My cat likes to eat plastic which gets to be annoying and dangerous for him. He's had his stomach clogged once and had to have surgery. He does like to play with paper. He doesn't eat the paper which is good. But I'll make a paper ball and flick it around and he'll retrieve the paper ball.
Well to me, it sounds like she's staying in, because if they wanted her out over her knee, I'm sure they would have discharged her already. But you're right. Having that peace of mind with knowing for sure about the situation would be great. I hope you get word from her soon, and a good word at that. ^^ My kitty? She's a pain in the ass. I found out this morning that she has halfway chewed through my PSP charger cable, so now I have to set it up a certain way so I can use it. She's adorable though, so I can't stay mad at her for long. :3
So far I have not heard from my girlfriend. I see that as good news. I reason if she was getting booted out then she would have called. Perhaps they will test her knee out for a few days. I need a spy network to get info. Don't like this waiting. How is your kitty?
She got into a motorcycle accident. When she was like 15. I always found it odd that nobody asked her age, but she got money from the truckers company or the trucker. Around $11,000. She didn't have a driver's license yet and she was driving a bike. Her mom would let her, though her mom wasn't the greatest mom. In fact her mom was the opposite. She can still run but I'll have to see when she next calls me. Perhaps her knee may not be able to hold the additional weight from the gear while running. Mayhap that is too much stress, I don't know. She didn't explain much. It seemed like an unofficial call because she used her actual cell-phone & the call was quick. The prior two times she has called me it was through the bases phones. Hopefully I get word tomorrow. I don't want to be sitting on this too long. And I hope it is the good word.
Good for you, sir~! I think overnight stocker would be a good pick too, even though the hours are a bit ungodly. Cart pushers have to work in all kinds of weather conditions... >< Poor guys... Either way though, it's good to hear you got some more work/income coming your way. ^^ Your girlfriend may get kicked out for that? Well, I guess a bad knee is pretty serious business. What happened to her for her knee to get injured? I hope she gets to stay in too. It would suck to have her plans ruined because of that. Does her knee prevent her from doing some stuff in basic training or did she get a chance to mention that to you?
A Sam's Club called yesterday. I don't know if it was the same one or not. My Step-Dad knows a few people at a Sam's Club but I don't know if he talked to them. Anyhuma, my interview was today. Went and I pretty much have a job there I just have to see where I'll be assigned. For the interview, the lady said it was for a cashier's position. Which I liked, because I don't have cashier experience. Once I covered for a bit of time at Food Lion (grocery store) when somebody didn't come in for the early morning Saturday shift & some cashiers at night, when it was slow, would let me run their cash register while they bagged groceries. Well with no experience that position was off the table, I was a little sad and glad. Sad cause I do want that experience, but glad because I do prefer working away from the front. So the jobs I was interviewed for were: cart pusher (definitely not sexy) & overnight stocker. Cart Pusher/Collector would get $8.00/hour - better than what I get at Macy's - and between 27-33 hours/week - also better than Macy's. Overnight stocker get $9.00 plus $0.50 for working over-night and guaranteed 33 hours/week. I'm really hoping for the over-night stocker (9:30 pm - 5:30 am) but she has to see if she can hire 1 more person for that team. Either way I would be largely happy. A pay increase & stable hours = good. Some troubling news, because it had to offset the good thing that happened to me today (job interview) & to keep my hair turning grey. My girlfriend called saying how she told the army - she's in basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood Missouri - about her bad knee, which her recruiter said to not tell some stuff. Anyhuma she may get kicked out. This is not good news for me because she was a ward of the state, she doesn't have much to fall back on. Luckily she got in contact with her Dad whom she has never talked to before; he left because her mom was abusive to him & would call cops if he touched her in defense. He lives in Queens, NY so if she were to get kicked out she would probably have to go up there and work something out for college. Just when things looked up I get stress I don't need. Hopefully she stays in. Though I have been missing her. But I don't want to see her now because I want her future secure. Life.
Wow... That's pretty crazy that both your copy and your friend's copy have similar problems... People at Quality Assurance be slacking on their jobs! I had a Ninja, Devout, Dark Knight and a Magus. CoD was soooo easy once I went with those jobs. What really helped too was going through Eureka and getting all that awesome equipment and powerful spells. I can't believe I didn't do that before...heh... Guess I was just in a rush to get to the top of the tower that I completely skipped that portion of the game. Oh, you clever devil! Sounds like a plan to me!
Doubtful it is a bootleg. I bought it at Gamestop - new at that. My friend has a similar problem. Maybe we just got the games that fall in that bad percent. The game isn't too old, released in 2006. I only played through it once for around 35 hours. On beating Final Fantasy III - HUZZAH!!! What jobs comprised your party when you defeated Cloud of Darkness? The Sam's Club thing taught me a lesson: if a similar situation arises in the future, instead of saying, " I have class soon", I should say, " I have a doctor's appointment". Nobody messes with them doctor's appointments.
Hmmm... that's really odd that the files are corrupt... It's not a bootleg is it? Or maybe it's just old? Have you thought of using emulators? It does kill the portability though...and a bit on the illegal side... However, since you have an original copy, you'd be fine if you did decide to get a ROM. Speaking of FF games, I started up on FF VI GBA. I'm taking a break from FF IV DS, because I was in the sealed cave, and progressed pretty far, but then was attacked and defeated by a group of enemies...and lost all that progress I made. Ah well. Just goes to show that I shouldn't press my luck like I did. I also finally beat FF III! After who knows how long I had it on standby... Haha... Wal-Mart, eh? That started here in Arkansas, and I swear we have 3 Walmarts where I live. Overkill much? Heh... Good luck to you though. I think it'll help since you know someone already working there, and you can get the job easier. :3 Sorry to hear about Sam's Club though... I would have thought that they would have at least tried to work around your schedule, especially for an interview... :/
So I'm replaying Final Fantasy V (Advance) after beating Final Fantasy today. The first time playing the GBA version of FFV I couldn't, and still, can't Quicksave. Well I was trying to use a different save slot and Slots 2, 3, & 4 are all corrupt. It won't even let me save on Slot 4. Luckily I still have Slot 1 which I over-rid my old data as I was done with that playthrough. I think whenever I get some money I may buy another copy of FFV Advance and see how that works. I want a cartridge that I can Quicksave with as that could be a hassle. Speaking of money, I may get a job at Wal-Mart. Not the "sexiest" of things however hours at Macy's aren't stable since I work with the receiving team whose hours are based on the truck schedule/load. My mom saw our neighbor there, he's a customer service manager or something. I've seen him plenty of times before it just never clicked with me. I need something with at least 30 hours preferably 40 hours/week. Sam's Club had called me wanting an interview this past Thursday at 2:00 pm. I have class at 3:00 pm so I asked if they could push the interview a little earlier. Then I said why, "I have a class at 3:00" and that killed my chances there. The lady said they needed someone with an open schedule. Even though I'm going to school my schedule is still pretty open. Oh well.
I don't play SIMS 3 and I don't have a facebook page. Huzzah! That means I'm less likely to become a facebook zombie. If you become one I'll try to find a cure.
