I wouldn't watch any of the junk on Adult Swim either, that wasn't anime. I can't stand it. Yup, I'll look forward to hearing what you think of Yuki.
I felt the same about ARDBZ. I love how the series was parodied and it made me laugh, yet I wouldn't watch anything in adult Swm these days no matter how much someone begged me to. It does make me wonder, though. Am I really the clown here? ;p That's something to look forward to, and should enjoy it while I can.
That far? I guess that's another surprise for you to learn. But I probably only find it funny because it's something I've watched. Probably wouldn't be entertaining if it was something I've never seen. Ah, that's near the end of the sub-arc. You're coming to Chiharu's next then. You should enjoy it.
Both, actually. I knew you had a sense of humor, I just didn't know it went that far I'm on chapter 38, I believe. Looks like Yuki's finally getting better.
Unexpected because you didn't think I watched that sort of thing or that it was an unusual suggestion for aiding in your writing? I take it then that you're into Fumiko's sub-arc now.
I think it was an unexpected suggestion coming from you xD But I may watch it while I'm at work. I watch videos on my phone since they don't take long to load, unlike the times I try to watch them on my comp ._. I....didn't expect the next assassin to be the size of a child.
It can be a little crass at times, but I think if you're going to write about Yugioh it might be worth watching. It does a good job of pointing and being aware of many of the different key aspects of the show. While it is making fun of it, it is also knowledgeable about the subject. So it would probably give you some good insight. Plus, it manages to maintain the duels, but cut down the fat on them. Something that might help you in converting to prose.
I've only seen clips of it when someone decided to show me. It wasn't bad or anything, I just never bothered to check it out after that. I've watch all of the original Yu-Gi-Oh, but I've only watched part of 5Ds and the first season of Zexal. But I enjoy them all
Yeah, I've heard about most of them here and there. Though I've only follow the original Yugioh. I never really found the other series very interesting. You seen Yugioh the Abridged Series?
The Nordic Gods aren't the only ones that will make an appearance, since they're not really the most powerful cards. And I'm doing it to keep things interesting. For starters, there the three Egyptian Gods (gotta have them). Then there are the Wicked Gods from the Yu-Gi-Oh R manga (which takes place after Battle City). The Sacred Beasts from the GX era, the uber-powerful Synchro monsters from the 5Ds era and the new Xyz cards from the Zexal era. And that's just a fraction of what's to come, since the TCG has released thousands of cards over the years, which in turn provides thousands of possibilities.
Yeah, sounds a lot like the Battle City Tournament and Awake the Dragon Arcs where there were three special cards superior to all others or at least unique enough to be powerful and in the hands of different people. But it is good to have them in different hands, otherwise your main character will be too powerful.
It's just the plot I wanted to write for the story ^^; It's the best I could come up with a year ago, as I wanted things to be a little "normal", if that makes sense. And even now, I remain a fan of the Nordic cards (my favorite archetype of the game) so revealing all three was more like me being so giddy about showing off how good they are. During the Prelude, only Odin and Thor will make an appearance while Loki will make his debut later on. As you will see later on, all three won't belong to one person. Not sure how I will go at it since Leon will get to play one of them only once, but getting there will be part of the fun as I'm still working on the character list.
I only read the first two chapters. It follows pretty standard fair for fitting into the setup for Yugioh. There are some improbable luck with having the Aesir cards conveniently there. Probably would have been better if it was only one, especially since you only used one. It might have been better to make the whole thing more mystic in obtaining the card, like the Awake the Dragons Arc, they just magically appeared to them. However, it has the write feel and they all sound like they would in the show.
Hooray ^^ Maybe you'll have a different opinion once you read it in prose (or maybe not), but based on what you've read so far, what do you think of the plot?
Yeah, I can review the chapters when you finish. I have no problem doing that.
