  1. BTW, I forgot to mention. I can't get to Heaven's Trial II normally. I try and leave, but I can't. And I defeated the four bosses, and I've opened the door, but I can't get out. So, teleporting...
  2. Oops, I forgot to change Dimitri's Cruel Force AI.
But you'll have to bear with it i geuss.
  3. Alright, Elyon, one more try.
  4. It is done!
  5. Hey Ralz, It's almost done to be downloaded, I've fixed a few things in this version, That are listed here.

-Item's No Longer Bumps into Reflect.
    -Alther's New Special, "Aerial Volcano".
    -Better AI's.
-New Item in, Nova Trading Shop.

It'll take half an hour to upload! Be there!
  6. Well, The games enemies are "Particully" in their post-game versions and so, And when you speak about the experiance, Don't worry! It's just so that you can STILL recieve EXP even when you reach final level, Sorta like an Completeion Thing i came up with when playing the game, Final Fantasy XII.

Oh yeah, Since im the creator of Shira Dimitri's AI, He uses Cruel Force only every 6 turns in the new version, Oh yeah, The ATB system as well... I... won't be able to add it in... The Game explains why if you beat it, So you just have to keep playing to understand my situation!

And... There's i think during a spot in experiance, When it jumps to an higher need of experiance, I have no idea, But enemies won't be very much worth in experiance anyway! To keep the battles rolling up! I love the battles anyway, So i geuss people has to level up pretty often.

And yeah... The next deadline is when it's time to go back where we work, After New Year, But you Ralz... You've worked the whole time! Though... I did it as well, But that's because im the Producer, If people won't go back working, I geuss they're just not having the Patience or will i geuss, Im pretty much talking about Alther, Meigumi's doing fine, But i havn't heard of her in weeks, Maybe you should remind them?

Well, The First of the "Fixed" Version's will come today... Alittle later... But be patient, It'll come, Maybe in 1 hour.
  7. I believe I'd played enough out of this to have my fun. I tried to defeat Shira, but I kpet having to deal with Cruel Force, so he was still about 1.2 million when he activated his annihilation move. It took almost an hour to get that far. I guess I'm just not good enough to beat him, and I was keeping status buffs up frequently, I used plenty of Super and Grand Elixirs, but he's too strong for me. Coincidentally, am I the only one testing this?

Now, I'd like to discuss a few things about the demos so far, and how we can make the final game better. (BTW, my questions about the ATB system still stands.) Now then, did you intend the X button to both open the menu and cancel? Its a touch awkward, and at times, its like confirmation as well. Maybe you could check it out and change menu to another button. You should also add a tutorial for these types of things. Nothing elaborate, just a text box explaining what to do. And speaking of tutorials, I assume they will be short as well? You may as well have Nova break the fourth wall and explain things that need to be. He does well with that job. xD

I'd like to ask, are the bosses we're facing their post-game versions? Assuming we'll be in levels around 35-50, these bosses can't be defeated. And the maximum experience required seems to end close to 5 million. That could mean the last few levels could requires very high amounts of experience, like 140000-200000! Are you able to insert experience requirements, or does the game do it automatically? I was thinking we could lock down levels, somewhat, to prevent overleveling. Like, say for an area, we don't want the player any higher than level 15. So, let's say the experience to get to level 15 was 800, and the experience to get to 16 is 5000. Something to convince the player to say "you're strong enough, proceed."

Perhaps we could discuss more game ideas while our deadline approaches? Wait... what is our deadline, anyway?
  8. Success! I managed to fix so that items bypasses Reflect! Althought... I couldn't fix the Miracle state, Maybe some other time it works better.
  9. Yep, I'll try to fix the Miracle state in the next version as well.
  10. Alright, I'll tell you more then, I think i can fix those pesky items being reflected and all, But that will appear in Version 4.9.5, And those...

Heroes have an Auto-Survival technique, But they can only use it ONCE! If they use it, That's it, They won't use it anymore, Concentrate on trying to kill several at once, They will try to revive each other, Doing this, Will absolutely fasten up the battle, But be prepared... They use Last Resort to boast their stats to make it harder for you when near death, But not to much to worry as much.

Battle's isn't going to just be straitforward as you think, They must contain Puzzles.

Shira Dimitri, For an example likes to "Play" with you, And goes serious when his HP reaches low, And... He instantly kills all allies with "Infinite Damnation", As it deals instant 99999 damage, It bypasses Reflect, And disables Miracle, But he will ONLY use it on the 70th Turn, So you have to defeat him before that happens, It's not as hard as you think.

Don't worry! I made sure these enemies ARE beatable! I just have a nasty habit of making hard bosses! :3
  11. Fighting Nova, and his Omni Magic Chant: Thunder bypassed Miracle. But it didn't delete it, Ralz was dead, but it was still "active." Maybe you could check that out?

And now I have a snag. I'm against the other heroes, or whatever they call themselves, and I can't win. They keep reviving each other.
  12. Hmm... thanks a lot for your mini-guide, Elyon! To tell the truth, I didn't really search for items because I figured the good items would be inside chests. (And to be even more honest, I did cheat and skipped right to the final boss. That's probably why I was underprepared.)

As for Shira Dimitri, I didn't really consider Elyon's new skills. (Guess I didn't scroll down xD) If that's the case, then both him and Ralz applying buffs at once would make the job easier. I was using Meigumi's Anger of Zeus a bit too much, because its damage was pretty decent against one enemy, and it charged her Overlimit gauge quickly. However, it was near useless on Shira, because of three targets, two of which are immune to it, and dealing about 39 damage at best, so I switched to healer mode for the rest of the fight.

You wanna know what was really killing me? Items. I never used my excess funding to load up on Super and Grand Elixirs. If I had that, I could let loose. But seriously, Elyon, I have to ask. Are Items reflected, too?

Anyway, I'm playing again today to see if I can defeat Shira. If not, I'll let you know.

Hope these information was useful! Thanks!
  14. Glad you liked the new updates, I thought Meigumi could have needed alittle boost, And yeah... There's one more thing i can help you with, This method were for players who like to inpect things in hope for hidden items, There are a few hidden items that can help you, I'll be kind and tell you how to get them.

The bosses isn't too much overpowered, It's you who might have bad luck, And using wrong equipment, Possibly... Wrong strategy, So i'll tell you some secrets about the characters, And hidden equipment.

    -ELYON-
    Strategy Role: Slow, Fighter, Assister
    - Elyon, That is me... Is particully the slowest in the game for having heavy armor and great swords, But that can be puted into advantage, His move, Dashing Blade, Gives him the initiative that makes him attack before everyone else, Except whenever enemies or allies preforms some quick attacks as well or Cutscene Moves, It also deals a solid amout of damage as well, If you havn't noticed it, Elyon has new abilities that can be puted to good use.

    Destructrion
    Foundation
    Creation
    Retribution

These moves lies in assist, They are just like Ralz's stat boosts, Except that these heals all allies alittle, Making it good to cover up that... Just little damage you got on yourself, As being slowest, You can use this to back up healing whenever you EXPECTS an enemy attack and needs another stat boost.

    -RALZ-
Strategy Role: Fast, Fighter, Assist, Quick Recover
    - For having amongst the highest SPD, and mediocre STR, He makes excellent for deathblowing the enemies, He has assist magic that should be used as soon as the battle starts, His high SPD will also put his mediocre healing powers as well to use whenever you need to catch your feet again, Having slight healing potential, He can be used for recovering.

    -MEIGUMI-
Strategy Role: Healer, Assist, Quick Recover, Salvation
    - Having amongst the highest SPD, She makes good for healing, Put up an Miracle state to ensure surviving, She shouldn't be used for fighting unless there's nothing else to do, She has high critical chance, Critical Hits ignores enemies defense power, But she shouldn't attack until neccessary, Use healing as much as possible when needed, "Benediction" goes great for high healing, "Grand Benediction" goes for Critical HP levels, Her Overlimits should only be used in a emergency, Especially when low on HP, Her... "Gift of the Goddess" works fine for that, As it heals all HP and puts up a strong barrier that reflects all forms of damage in many turns, Her "Mega Regenerate" will help healing afew damages, And... Attacking, Is the thing you do with her when there's nothing else to do.

    -ALTHER-
Strategy Role: Extreme Fighter, Slow, Berserker
    - Having the highest STR, And no other ways in helping except for Stat-Reducing enemies, Is to Fight... His "Power Release" will double his STR, Making him devastating in the field, Having the ability to strike in a 2-times section with his swords, He makes big scars into the enemies, Althought, He becomes unable to control, He can still make enemies cry for mercy with his high damaging attacks, Even without these moves, He can still do high damage with his "X-Slash" technique.

    Part II coming soon...
  15. You did a great job, Elyon. I particurarly liked Ralz's expanded need for cocoa. xD As well as seeing Nova despair about still not being in the party. And I knew Alther would just sit in the back corner with nothing to say but "..."

Now then, your time device is a wonderful thing. But what was the "???"? Is there a battle beyond Shira Dimitri? Speaking of Shira Dimitri, I'm serious when I tell you its insane. Its a great fight, but man it goes on and on and on...

Okay, here's my senario. On average, I can deal about 20000-30000 per round. Unless he puts up status buffs, in which that about halves. Meigumi's Anger of Zeus fills up her Overlimit gauge pretty quickly... assuming it hits Shira and not his Joy and Anger. Gift of the Goddess is a godsend, but items seem to suffer from the Reflect status as well. Can this be fixed?

And speaking of Anger of Zeus, what an upgrade to Meigumi. Before, she was just the white mage with no particular power to call her own. And now she's pretty useful, which is good. I also noticed that slightly less healing was required in this version, and that is excellent. All the previous versions had high-damage dealing enemies, and Meigumi had no choice but to keep healing. I think if you tweak it a little more, players can have a little more fun without so much worry of dying and re-establishing the costly Celestial Guidance.

Back to Shira Dimitri, though. Sorry to complain, but its a bit irritating. I was there for a staggering 40 or so minutes, with my total damage to him amounting to about 300000. What happened, you may ask? His Cruel Force move happened. When Reflect is not active, he restores ONE-HUNDRED THOUSAND HP to himself while reducing me to 1. Ouch. Doesn't help he did this twice in five minutes.

And dealing so very little damage at this point makes this boss go from a chore to a near-impossible endeavor. Seriously, I almost had him to 1 million, and a couple of Cruel Forces later, he's at 1.6 million. I can't keep up. It wouldn't be a problem if he had 500000 HP. Maybe you could consider either changing the HP totals of the bosses, or upping the damage the characters deal, because at this rate, no one will ever see the ending.

That's my mini-review on it. Now to get the plot in your hands so we can start on the real thing! Did you say you were using an ATB-like system for the actual game?
