Vroooooom! I am very distracted right now.
Haha, I didn't even notice that mistake. XI and IX...Dyslexic moment for EVERYBODY!!!
Newton's law.
Thanks! One of my friend's parents said that I was due for some good luck.
It might have been long, but it was worth it. Glad things are looking up for you.
That is a good point. Thank you for telling me. I am glad I am fluent in Spanish and Chinese as well. That's about 3.5 billion, minus the ones that can speak English as well. from here.
Oh, and uhh, 'Indeed, English may be the globe's most universal language, but travellers shouldn't mistake its ubiquity with total world coverage. Recent estimates figure only about 1.8 billion people understand English. So, while it may be spoken in many countries where it isn't the primary tongue, English is understood by just 26 per cent of the 6.94 billion people in the world.' from here.
I don't have an iPhone. Nor do I want one. I'm a blackberry fan. I'll probably just end up figuring it out by myself. Or getting one of my bosses to help out. We'll see.
I wish I knew of a Spanish Pronunciation Website that I could lead you to help with that. I know that when I am working on Chinese over the Internet, I can just open a new tab and click on "Translate with Live Search". There is even a Voice button that allows me to hear how it is said. I don't know how it is with your computer, but there are also some IPhone and Droid apps that do voice translations. They are even able to take what you or someone speaks into the phone and translates it into any language yu want.
LOL, I'll just keep my thoughts to myself. In the case that there isn't an English speaking person on shift (As it does happen from time to time), they want us to be prepared. I am looking over what you translated in hopes of being able to pronounce it right...
I really had to work on that one. I figured Joe would be the next to go, so when Victoria made hers, that's when I started working on mine. It felt good to get rid of last year's winner. I would think that most airports have English-speaking employees. With as many English-speakers now allowed to visit Cuba without threat of imprisonment, you would think they would hire at least. I understand that at smaller airports a bilingual employee would be harder to get, but still. I just checked the Member Elimination Thread. I thought that my Obliteration was about to be overturned because of the forum clock being off by 6 minutes. I guess it will stand though. I'm relieved.
Wow! Nice Obliteration. I could almost feel the saws and blades eating at my legs. Very good writing there. I haven't used them yet. I'm trying to see if My boss is going to get some translations first before we do anything. It's a touchy subject. And yes <3 I love the background where Lightning looks like she's flying and Serah and Noel are back to back pretty much. Very cool.
How did the Spanish go? I am a little anxious as to how it went. I have only ever translated for my classmates before. I hope you didn't get into any trouble for asking me. BTW, I like the new background. Is it from FFXIII-2?
I am happy that you are so positive about it, and that it made you choose your career path. I have always had my love for language, and I prefer to end conflicts with words, rather than with guns. I used to think maybe if they two sides would just talk, things could get better. Unfortunately, both sides are stubborn "sacks of bad words" and don't want to talk about anything.
Okay, I'll be waiting.
