Here's the Guide to User Reputation.
Those are reputations. They have points that increase when a person thanks you for a certain post. You cannot give yourself reputation; only others can. You can, however, give other people rep by clicking the "Thanks" button on a recent post. It can be a "thank you" or a "No thank you". The first increases rep, and the second decreases it. To get more, just keep posting good posts. We spam and short post too much that's why. Also, you can check your current rep points if you press the thanks button on one of your own posts.
