I found out how to pronounce Hope's last name! xD Apparently, it's not [es-theem], it's [est-hime].
I suppose if you wanted, you could just repeat the effect in a different part of the banner (like somewhere on the other side) to balance it out, but it's really not a big deal. It's just my opinion on the matter, so other people could really like it. Heh. I like how some of these FF names have meanings behind them!

Heh. You sent me another VM while I was typing up a response to the first one. Yes. I was talking about the glowing thing. Everything else looks fine to me in the first banner.
I thought that the branching corner was fine, just the effect that was inside of it was a throw-off for me. I probably should have been a bit more specific... I was talking about the white and blue ray-looking things (I don't really know what that effect is called). Sorry if I mislead you a bit... Yes. This one is smaller, but it still looks good. I'm not too fond of the name Hope at a slant like that over his head. I would have kept it in the same spot it was in the first banner, as well as leave in the branched-out part. I like how there is a bit of border effect around the top circle. So if you still have the first draft of this particular banner, I would add the border around the top circle and get rid of the blue and white ray effect things. Keep the branching corner, because that was pretty awesome. Well, you could just start a thread and just ask for feedback. I think it would only help you in your banner-making, and you'll get a lot more criticism (hopefully constructive) from other people besides myself. Question about Hope. His last name is Estheim. Is that pronounce Esteem? That's kind of cool if it is! Hope "Esteem". Heh.

I got rid of that branching corner, and it's a bit small now. =P Here it is! I swear, on TFF Dark, it looks so pretty! And I hesitated to start a thread because of requests. xD I don't feel I'm ready for them yet, because I like to just work on my own thoughts. Also, we both had the idea of making a banner of Hope at the same time, so that led to this. xD
I like it. I do have some suggestions: Have you thought about putting some of that shiny border effect around the circles? Also, I'm not really feeling that effect at the lower right portion. It doesn't really look like it belongs in the overall banner. I would either take it out or repeat the effect somewhere else in the banner. The border is awesome and the render looks really clean. I also like how you have the name disconnected from the main banner. That's pretty awesome as well. Heh. Are you and VMM going to have the same character in your sig, or did you do this for fun? You should start your own thread! That way a lot more people can see what you can do. You may get some banner requests!

Actually, I just wanted a crest or logo or some sort to "advertise" him. xD But we had the same thoughts with that lighter or darker text thing. I fixed that before I saw the VM. =P This design, I got lazy and didn't make. xD I just stole something off of Google and colored it in. And I accidentally totaled my avatar and forgot the link, so I went avatar-less, frantically trying to come up with something else. xD
HEY!! Where is your Avatar? All I see is a question mark now! What's up with that? Are you trying to be all mysterious or something?
Now that is really awesome! I would make "Leon Love" a darker blue or maybe even white so it would stand out against TFF Dark and from the banner. Also, if people aren't familiar with the game, or don't know the character, I'm not sure if they would know what shape that was supposed to be. You could probably have the same "WHOA" effect with just his face there and not make it all one color (did that make sense?) But WOW! I do love that design at the bottom! I feel like a broken record, but good job on this one!

I wouldn't add anything else to it, because you would run the risk of having a banner that was too crowded or too busy. It looks great the way it is. I honestly have no suggestion for improvement. It's a really great banner, and I think it would suit you well if you decide to use it! Also the color is very nice, and will look fantastic against TFF Dark. It's got great focal movement, yet allows the eyes to rest for a moment on the large image of Leon. I love that intricate-looking border lining the top and bottom of the banner. If I was to be critical of just one thing, it would be the sparkle effect on his leg. I would get rid of it. That big cyan colored sparkle just looks sort of strange there. But it's only at that particular area that I see any issue, so the rest of the effect is very nice. Wow. You're really good at this kind of thing! You have a nice eye for design, and I think you'll only get better!
