It was kind of sad. But! I'm thinking that instead of focusing on little things no one cares about... I can write more about my journey as a musician. Wee!
Normally, most evenings would work well for me. For example on saturday, I'm done working at 7ish pm so I can be online shortly after that. HOWEVER, as of right now, we are in a big flood warning in our city, and my family and I might be forced to evacuate our home if shit gets too real. It's really unknown at this point if it will even affect our area of the city or to what extent, but it's something we're all getting prepared for. So if for some reason I go MIA during the next couple of weeks (or forever if I drown lol), you'll know why! haha yes! you summed up exactly what I was trying to say, lol. And yes, many a year ago lol I was in choir (middle and high school). I was actually pretty good in middle school and was in different city choirs and took lessons and stuff, but then once I got into high school, I had a pretty sucky choir teacher, and it really turned me off to taking singing seriously after that.
Hey hey! After I get my upcoming gig out of the way this Friday, I'm gonna want to plan this road trip. Early July or August..... we're probably talking a week and a half to two weeks together (with travel time included). Also. I'm thinking I can schedule gigs at our stops to make this shit productive. And it would be nice to do shows in strange towns with a couple friends watching. So help me pick a time for you and me and Brett to get in a chat (or skype? that might actually be better) and plan plan plan. I think he gets back into town Saturday afternoon. Whatchu think? Also also thank you. And often times when I hear my recorded voice, it irritates me haha. I've gotten used to hearing it, and I can now hear things that are pleasant about it. But I always critique myself way too hard to listen to my own music for purposes other than "what worked, and can I improve on?" So yeah, I for sure know what you mean. And wtf, I didn't know you sang?!?!
I forgot to mention this to you, but I do love this song <3 from one singer to another, my question to you is, how do you feel when you hear your own voice after it has been recorded and finalized? For me, it's a wierd feeling to hear it after it's been recorded. idk why, but sometimes I don't feel comfortable with it? or something? its hard to explain, but I think you know what I mean.
