Speaking of The After Years, I gotta play my copy of FF IV Complete soon. Been putting it off for some reason. And nah, you're not boring.
It was in The After Years. I had a tough battle with a Deathmask, and once it was done I kept going and going until I reached B12 in the Depths (The Deathmask was only in B10, but the fight was ridiculously long and the whole area was like a maze). I KNEW there was a Save Point so as I was frantically looking for it I come into an encounter with a Chimera Geist. Attacking thrice in the same turn, I had to flee. And, well, you can tell what happens next. ._. And no need to be sorry. If anything, apologize to yourself. You just wasted one minute reading boring ol' me.
I can probably take a guess...and I assume that it happened to you recently? If that's the case, then sorry to hear it. I hope that you saved your game not too long before encountering the enemy so you didn't lose too much progress.
Late response. But what also annoys me is whenever you try to run away from a very tough enemy. You try to cast a spell that'll just zip you away from battle, but the monster just HAPPENS to target the caster. You press the L and R buttons and hold them, but die anyway. And what's worse is when an enemy that attacks like three times in a row does it! Ask me why I brought this up now.

Yeah, I used to have roles assigned to everyone, but it got a little cluttered in my sig, so I just have names now... >< If I ever do put them back in, I'll keep that in mind.
