I knew about cecil, since I'm playing the DS version and they speak. I still pronounce Squall "Skuall" and I've always pronounced Tidus "Tee-dus" just sounded right.
Cecil! I actually had no idea that name was pronounced like "sessil" until Dissidia came out >.< same with Tidus being "tee-dus" lol I expected Squall to end up as "Skw-uell*
