i5 with 6mb cache is far better. 6mb cache 2.6ghz is superior to 3mb cache 3.3ghz. but that laptop looks beastlike, good choice! even the video card is very good. You wil be able to do some serious gaming on that machine.
About how much of a performance difference is there between these two processors? 2nd Generation Intel Core i3-2120 Processor (3.3GHz, 3MB Cache) 2nd Generation Intel Core i5-2400S processor(6MB Cache, 2.50GHz) EDIT: Nvm, I ended up with this: Inspiron 17R Special Edition laptop details | Dell New Zealand (the i7, 8gb version in the middle)
