Kind of idiotic assumption, since I can just see your age in your profile.
I would have guessed lower than 17, but not lower than 14. Now that I think of it, my youngest brother is 14 I believe. I think I imagined you to be his age or maybe a year older. So yeah, 14-15. But not 13. That's bloody young.
Really? How old did you think I was? And English is actually my second language (my first is top secret!), which I started learning when I was about four or five, since I had to in order to survive at school.
yeah, I thought you were older though. Is English your native language? And I know what you mean. I'm not expecting everyone to be an expert in the English language. But if you're going to post on an English forum or even make a thread, at least check your spelling. Most of those people don't even get the grammar right... sigh What bothers me too are those posts without any punctuation. Or posts like "Yeah you know... Dnt know... Omg i just made a typo... well hes hot lolzorz. but yeah i didnt use him that often or did i.. nah... yeah im like that..." (-_-')
I know that. I'm just saying that some people here post things that I don't even understand, which is pretty sad since I'm only thirteen and my posts at least are comprehensible.
Being older than 13 years is not a requirement nor it is a garantee for decent grammar. ^^
But being intellectual starts with having decent grammar, which some people here are terrible at, despite the fact that they're well over thirteen years old...
Yeah, there's your typical "interwebz intellectual". (Interwebz is not an actual right word of course, but that's just a word to describe the "importance" (/irony) of the ALMIGHTY internet/www where everyone can be an intellectual person.)
I don't think the kid knew, because in response to my last question, he said "Shut up."
I think I even did that on purpose once. Sounds like something I would do. But people would know I was being ironic. Most people.
Haha. Awesome. Although they might actually know what it is, and use it on purpose. Kind of ironic. So the joke might be on you.
Most of the time, the usage of the word literal is actually only a hyperbole. Like some idiots that are the same grade as me use the word, but I don't think they even know what literally means! And I got someone call me an oxymoron. All I said back was, "Doy ou even know what an oxymoron is?"
Hmm. I don't think there is a figurative meaning of literal. If you say that something was done "literally", you mean that it was actually done that way. But lots of people use the word "literal" just to amplify their figurative expression. That always bothers me ^^ But it is done quite often. Even in newspapers sometimes.
Not the literal meaning of "literally", but the... figurative(?) meaning of "literally". I'm lost...
No it doesn't. It just means you had no right to use the word "literally". Yeah, that's what it means, bitch.
