Hey just thought i'd give you a quick rundown on what happened to cid in FFXIII without spoiling it for everyone on the forums. Lightning and the crew battled with him at the top of that one huge tower in Gran Pulse. At the end of the battle there were some conversation and at the end he became crystallized.
Right. Take note this is one of those really expensive to buy kind of games especially in US. Although M2 is cheaper in comparison it still goes for some money and you're totally right about the new games.
I can understand your point of view, but generally for me it has to be something I don't already own or haven't already played that makes me want to buy the console. It can certainly be a plus, but I would imagine many people are going to be making their decisions on new games rather than ones on the virtual console.
No it wouldn't actually. Nintendo is starting their Wii U version of the VC which the titles can be purchased on the shop there. In the Wii u portion of VC titles buyers are able to play the classic games even on just the gamepad. The ability to play Mother 2 on the gamepad without having to use the TV all the time can be very beneficial to owners. To me, this would be a selling point if I had a favorite rpg I wanted to play if I had to share the TV or if I took the system on a trip.
But wouldn't that also be available on the Wii, the Virtual Console is there as well right? I still doubt that Mother 2 is going to cause a huge up tick in sales for the Wii U even with the demand of the game. There is a ton of stuff coming out in Japan that would likely appeal to those same fans for consoles they already probably own.
BTW, referring back to my post in ITT about my Wii U sales prediction for japan. The reason I predict a strong month in march in japan is because they are getting the long sought after Mother 2 on VC and it will be super cheap in their currency and there has been a HUGE demand for a digital release of that game since its appearance in brawl. It may not be the only game that will help the system but I'm sure it will have a positive effect.
I have quite a few other RPGs in my queue, but I will try to get all of the Tales games that I can.
I made the comparisons myself by listening to the songs on youtube. If you ever do get a chance to play phantasia, I recommend importing the PSX version. Its really good.
I haven't played Tales of Phantasia so I can't really compare them very well. It's been a while since I played Symphonia, so I don't really remember it too well.
Hey Andro, I was wondering something, have you ever listened to the song Fighting of the Spirit from the Tales games? if so which version do you like? That song appeared in the spirit boss battles in Tales of Phantasia and Symphonia. there are about 6 different versions of the song since ToP has 5 different makes (SFC, GBC (Nakakiri Dungeon Spinoff), PS1, GBA, PSP (Tales of Phantasia X)). I'm partial to the PSX version of the song just because of how well it is composed.
I've been trying to locate a copy of Skies of Arcadia, no luck so far at local stores, but I'll keep waiting. One day it'll be there for some reason and I'll grab it up quickly. I own a lot of games anyway, so I've got a lot of things to keep me busy.
The games that really rake in the money is if you own a copy of Aero Fighters for SNES, and EarthBound by no doubt is super expensive. Metal Gear Twin Snakes is another expensive Gamecube game. Do you own Skies of Arcadia for the Gamecube? that one is rare for sure.
Finishing games is a difficult thing at times. I've got 5 RPGs started that I need to complete. Wind Waker is going to be the same as before so it'll be solid, looks like the visual updates are making a little more appealing and better balanced. Had no idea that the Fire Emblem game actually went for anything. I got it for like $20 I think a few years back when the store owner told me I'd probably like it. Saw Amazon had used prices starting at $75 and new $150. Wow. No clue. Makes me wonder amount any of my other games.
Wow, sounds like it is pretty good, I still need to finish the games i already have. I'm really looking forward to that Wind Waker remake, its going to be pretty good, I can already tell. As for that Gamecube FE, you might want to keep that one, it goes for a pretty penny these days.
I've play quite a few RPGs, so you've got decent odds. I have just above 50% completion rate right now on my RPGs. Anyway, Ni No Kuni is amazing, tons of fun and very addictive. It is so much fun just to wander around and look at the game. Last night after playing for 80 hours I discovered that there was an aurora in the northern lands, never saw it before. I keep convincing people to pick it up and hearing from others that they've been convinced to play it from watching others. Totally worth it. Very easily one of my favorite RPGs for the generation.
