AHH! You edited your VM while I was typing a response!!! I think you should move your character a bit further to the left, to cover that flat side of the banner background. Also, I still think you should use the background for a character that has Ice powers or something, since it looks wintery, but I do think it works for this particular character. The yellow weapon he holds stands out really well against the blue. I also think that it needs something on the right. It looks a bit empty on that side to me.
Heh. I saw on X-Play (when I still watched that show) that they put in 120 hours on the game, just going through the story. I may have been thinking of another game though, and just got the title mixed up. Gabriel isn't pale enough to be albino, but he sure is a cutie! Awww.. Your background is done really well! I think it has a wintery look, so you could probably use it for a character with ice powers or something. As for the whole Real Time/Turn Based thing, I would most definately like real time as well, because I am a much bigger fan of Action Adventure games than I am RPGs (I do love a lot of RPGs though). I like how in control you are of your characters during combat. Like you said, inputing a command and watching your character dish out damage isn't nearly as fun as it is when you push a button and attack, attack, ATTACK!! I hope its like that in the new FF game, where you can chat it up with your party members when you go into towns. I know that it happens sometimes in FF games in certain parts of the story, but I would like it if it was like how you mentioned it was in Star Ocean! I guess that's why SO is unique like that though. Oh, and I was going to comment on your Banner thread, but I couldn't really think of anything to say that I haven't already mentioned before to you.
What? Really? To be perfectly honest, I think all those people are lying! =O The game isn't anywhere near as long as 100 hours for just the main game. It only takes about 30~40 hours. I finished the game and finished all the sidequests, and it took me far less than 100 hours. Still, the game is somewhat lengthy. I was sort of hoping for real-time, actually. Those boomerangs, I want to be able to slash freely with them at short range than just pressing a button and seeing Hope attack on his own. It doesn't sound as fun. =| By personal experience, I have never seen a character suck with his or her unique weapon. The game developers almost always have an ultimate weapon for each, where in the end, most of them are equal in terms of power. Into towns? Star Ocean had a pretty unique twist of that. Only the main character is controllable, but all other characters go on their own ways in towns, and you can talk to them and get some different scenes. Actually, me, either. xD That's probably as close as you're going to get, but his eyes aren't red or pink enough. I know another one: Gabriel, from Summon Night. How is this beginning background? It's just the table; I'll add things on top of it.xD Strike that. It looks like this now: xD
I have a confession to make... I used to own Star Ocean: Till the End of Time. I don't have it anymore, because I got stuck at a certain part in the game. I believe it was in a town where you had to trek through some mines. It wasn't too far in, I remember that much. I... sold... the... game... I'm so ashamed... I wish I hadn't because joining this site and chatting it up with you makes me want to play it again! I may try to track down another copy, but I hear this particular game is a long one. Not that it's a bad thing, just I hear that the main story can take over 100 hours! That's a lot of game! I have no idea if FFXIII is real time or turn based, but I'm putting my money on turn-based. Yes. I agree that giving the characters thier own weapons does make them unique, and I like that, but what if there is a character that I really REALLY like but thier weapon sucks? I guess I could learn to deal with it. That's why I liked XII, because of the character customization and you picked who led your party into battle. I wish you could pick who you went into towns with as well, but I suppose that would be asking a lot from a game. Speaking of Albinos, I don't think I've EVER seen one in a FF game, or any other game for that matter. I think this guy could pass for one though: If you don't know, it's Ghaleon from Lunar Silver Star Story. Yes. He is evil. Yes. He is insane. Yes. He is my favorite character in that game! Heh... Been a while since I played it though.
Not very many characters use boomerangs, so letting them all use it will make him less special. Haha, Sephiroth! xD They have silver-haired characters but hardly any albinos. xD
Actually, I'm not quite sure. I assume that they're all playable, but twelveis far too plentiful. Oo Maybe it'll be like Star Ocean and you'll get to choose different characters on different paths. I sort of like ranged weapons, and I can imagine him rlashing at melee range with the boomdrangs if possible. Is the game real-time or turn-based. I'm half-half, to be honest. I like having characters use different types of weapons, but hat takes away some of the uniqueness. Like Hope, for example.
Are they all playable, or do you pick certain ones to play as, like in Before Crisis? Hopefully these boomerangs are at least halfway powerful. For some reason, projectile weapons (like Rinoa's weapon) and thrown weapons don't seem to do much damage as things like swords and guns and such. Or maybe it's because I usually don't play as characters that have these kinds of weapons. Speaking of weaponary, I was sort of hoping that this game (FF XIII) would let you customize your characters, like XII did. But that was met with mixed reaction, so I suppose SE had to go back to the drawing boards on that one. I liked how it was in XII though... Yeah, but he's not a main one. Go figure for me, huh? The character I'm excited about has silver hair and is evil. Remind you of anyone else I am obsessed over? Heh...
I was actually so thrilled when I saw something from FFXIII for the PSP. I like it. >< And there are at least twelve characters! One with a scythe, one with a flute, one with cards, etc. Oo I've never seen them, though. I imagine they are akin to Axel's chakrams. Is he one of the antagonists?
Yeah, you're right about that. I haven't really checked out Agito, and I haven't stumbled across too many threads about it either. No I haven't seen the amount of characters, but judging by your smiley, it must be a shocking amount. Kinda iffy about the boomerangs, but we'll see how they work out. It's Yaag Rosch. Hopefully he'll have some decent character development. He looks cool, but you never know how these things turn out.
Agito has even less info, though. xD Have you seen the number of characters? =O He looks better overall, too. xD And I like his weapons: dual boomerangs. Who is that, by the way? xD
Honestly I think that I will wind up getting them all, but I am a bit more excited about getting my hands on Versus XIII. That game looks GLORIOUS!!! Oh, and there's not too much info about it yet, so maybe most of the reason why I want it is because it's shrouded in mystery. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO........ I had to look at his face again to make the comparison, but yeah, I do see it as well. At least Hope is wearing a decent shirt! I look at all the purdy pictures, especially this one: File:FFXIII Headset guy.jpg - The Final Fantasy Wiki has more Final Fantasy information than Cid could research hee....
Of course! I'm going to get all three titles. How about you? I'm not really sure, but I think it means that he will occasinally run away on his own euring battles out of cowardice. Also, his design looks a bit like Vaan, but I'm sure I'll like him ten times more! =D Yep! That place is very informative, but I skip the plot stuff; I only read a bit of the background informations of characters.
Not "if" you get the game. "WHEN" you get the game! Also, he can run from battle? Aren't many characters able to do that in these games? Or do you mean that he will run from battle if you don't train and work with him? If that's the case, I think it's pretty neat that the game developers put that little something extra about him. Gives him a bit more dynamic impact as a character (to me anyway). Are you getting this info from FF Wiki? I'm trying to stay away from anything that might spoil the story for me, so I haven't really checked up on it.
Haha, I actually quite like how it's pronounce. It also says that he can run away during battle, and it's up to you to train him to be strong. If I get the game, I will make him my primary character. =D
Meh. Esteem sounds better to me, but it's cool that you found out.
