Really don't like the creature design, they went overboard on the cute seal-eye look. Even though it is realistic-looking, it still has an almost cartoonish look to it. To me it looks out of place in one of these games. Plus, they already did the escort thing with Yorda & ICO. Eh, it will probably actually be better than the average game, just doesn't look like it'll have the magic of the older ones. I hope you enjoy it, though. :>
OHKO = One Hit Knock-Out. ^^ I guess it's works out alright, though I'm sure I could beat games much faster (RPGs definitely) if I didn't spend so much time level-grinding so my characters are super powerful. Well, I played SotC first and it has a kickin' soundtrack and a pretty awesome field to run around in, not to mention that slaying a colossi is pretty enjoyable..but I enjoyed ICO's atmosphere a bit more. The castle was pretty awesome to explore. I also liked the "video game caring potential" of the game, when you escort Yorda around and have to keep her safe. Uhmmmm....ah....*sweatdrop*... There's a lot of handy tools that I passed up for a long time too, mainly because I didn't know how to use 'em. ^^ Not a problem~ Hope it makes your graphic-making that much more enjoyable. Yeah, that's a nice look, and I've seen a few sigs that had it, but I just noticed them in passing. Can't really show you examples, atm. ^^; Yeah, I do that occasionally. I hate hate hate hate HATE the cold though. Makes me wanna bundle up in a bunch of blankets and never move. I suppose it's better than excessive heat. At least in the cold, you can make it bearable with more clothing and such. With heat...you're kind of boned. Ah... He mostly relies on the ol' OHKO instead of coming up with battle strategies, eh? Damn, I feel soooo stupid. The gradient tool is actually great for helping to blend images, I don't know why I totally ignored it for signatures before you mentioned it. Thanks for the inspiration. xD I'm guessing you like gradients in text though, since it was text linked in your example. Not really seen it used in any signature text...have you seen some that looked cool? Aww...um....wear more layers instead of paying for heating? I dunno if it ever gets cold there....^^; For example, if a game has a particularly strong attack in he will abuse it by spamming away. I know just what you mean, don't worry. I got that plat too. Only some of us did it the legit way. He does them cheap tacs every time that he can. xD But he claims now that he is hero Bear he will no resort to cheap tactics. Wow...I must been to play the game again, I don't remember any butts on display. I remember in Vagrant Story (same team within Square Enix) they had a few guys butts hanging out instead. xD Somebody must love butt. Yeah, I guess seeing a tutorial can only get you so far. If they did, I'd be a hell of a lot better than I am now. GIMP is a nice free tool to use for stuff, but yeah, there's a lot of bs you have to do to mimic things you can do easier in Photoshop. Oh man... I was hoping he'd be able to help a lady out. ^^; What kind of cheap tactics does he employ? I was talking to him one night, and he was working towards a LBP 2 trophy, where you had to be in build mode for a lot of hours. He had to keep pressing buttons, and he had been going for a loooong time (sorry about being so vague...this was a while back). ANYWAY~ He seemed to be putting in a lot of effort for the trophy, so he probably deserves a few "dirty tricks" every now and again. Well, at least she had more coverage than ol' Fran had. Her cheeks were hanging out of her outfit (which was basically leather lingerie). Awww~ That's prety cute. :3 Do you do that free-hand, or go with some kind of model? I know a few pixel artists who basically pretty up a base model. Still cute stuff though. ^^ Ah, I gotcha~ Still pretty good considering that you have to rely basically on luck for those rare drops. Some of my pixely art (just coz adorable) ~ Nuuuu, I think it will have taken me three weeks in total. I mean it will probably take me 2-3 days more depends if the game behaves and gives me the rare drops I need, hehe. But once I get those it won't be long before I got the plat. I THINK it will be my 18th plat (goes to confirm...yep!). Yes, even the most time-consuming ones. I should really get those Team ICO plats. I feel like I could be okay to look for the last lizard respawns again.
Do you check out tutorials and stuff about text? Those could give you a nice idea about how to make it work. Personally, I like the subtle way you place your text. It's cool to me how it looks like the opacity is toned down so the background shows through, but still "solid" enough to where you can see the text *is looking at the banner in your signature* What I think it really cool is when people do the gradient look in text. I tried that in GIMP... It was a lot of damn work, and when I was finished, you could hardly tell I had done a gradient at all! :/ Haha. It would probably help if I had done a variety of colors rather than just different values of blue. "Cheap" side of the force? What's that? I might have to take lessons from Fatey-poo if it's something that will benefit me as well. Haha.. I don't blame you for passing. That thing she wears as a skirt goes barely passed her bum! >< I'm sure guys would like it though. You don't want it to just be floating there, and you don't really want it on its own in the corner. But that's how my text sometimes ends up. xD To be honest I was like "oh, phew!" when you didn't want text. It's always wise to stay on guard, hehe. Maybe the whole hero thing itself is a trick after all. But he really does seem to be putting in effort to being all heroic. Even he started to try and resist the 'cheap' side of the force in games. Problem is though, I can't think of anyone I look like. ^^; I think the easiest cosplay to do would be to buy a dark suit, add some kind of weapon and say that I was a Turk from FF VII. Easy and practical, since I could wear the suit to some important shindig or something. I was really into the Pokemon anime when it aired on Saturday mornings when I was growing up. Then there got to be waaaay too many to keep up with....that and I simply grew out of it I still think Mew is just way too cute though. ^^

I dunno how many contestants we'd get, but it probably would be few in number. :/ I've entered 3 of the contests we had: A Halloween-themed contest (got second place~!), Christmas themed (I can't find the results on this one...), and a summer theme (mine is #2). It's his ninja-ness that makes him appear different. He has to be tricky and stealthy like that to evade his enemies....and play pranks on his friends. xD Aww.. Sucks to hear that you lost motivation, but after that stunt with the FF XIII-2 write-up they did to you, I'd be less than willing to write again myself...at least for a while. Hope you get your inspiration back soon though, just so you can keep your name in the game. ^^ Cheap is definitely better, but good luck trying to find a good price on anything in places like that.
