My *older* sister is terrified of them! Whenever she sees one, she yells and tells me to kill it. She says to squish it quickly so it doesn't feel any pain! But then I flush it down the toilet after catching it with some paper.
Haha, I wouldn't get people breaking in - I'm... four floors up if I count everyone elses flat, AND there is nothing to climb up. Well, now they're putting scaffolding up to do works... darn it. >< I'm just scared of the big spiders getting in. I've dealt with one before, but I hope I never have to again lol. =S
I don't open my window at night; there might be people breaking in! But I'm on the second floor, so there's really not that much fear. Back when we lived at an apartment, there was only one floor, so we couldn't ever open the window at night, regardless of how hot it got.
Gahh, that happens to me too! >< My bed is under the window, so I get a little breeze in the night which is nice... but it means I have to have my black-out blind up, so I get the early morning sun... >< I have a thin blanket now though, so when it gets hot, I get that out. Really, when its hot, all you need is something light on top of you.
Oh, but it's annoying at night because my bed COVERS the vent, so not that much cool air gets out. But when I'm under the sheets, it gets too hot; when I get out of it, it gets too cold!
No, unfortunatly. It's only a small flat we live in, and to tell the truth it's doesn't get THAT bad here. I'm sure if I lived where Laura lives, we'd have one in every room lol. ^^;
You don't have the air conditioning that goes all around the house? That one is VERY convenient!^^
We got an air conditioning machine too, but it's in my mums room. She is getting a new one soon for downstairs because now they are half price in the shop. I have NO idea where we are going to put it though. >>;;
