Yeah, that could be it. I ended up liking Fang a lot more than Light, even though they had similar archetypes going for 'em. Yeah, I saw that one, but it was in Japanese. Heh, it's even more cheesy in English though...especially from Mr. Purple (dunno his name...the antagonist guy, I guess). Gawd... SE is really trying hard to make Lightning some kind of memetic badass. I'm all for tough action girls or whatever, but for some reason I'm not really warming up to Lightning. Yeah, I checked out the thread a while back. Those pics did seem pretty sweet, I must say, but you're right again. I dunno if that's going to be enough for me to justify the purchase at full price...especially when it didn't take long at all for XIII reg to get substantially marked down in price. Yeah, the story in Versus is giving me a "Romeo and Juliet" vibe with that Noctic dude and Stella chick, but hopefully the gameplay and open-world aspect will make up for it. ^^ So you can name the monsters now, eh? Same here. Did you see the newish picture I posted the other week for 13-2 on the forum? Looks like the amusement park bit should be fun at least. I doubt that would be enough to make ya wanna buy it, though. xD Versus looks as though the combat will be fun, which puts it a step in the right direction over 13-2, which looks to have the same ass combat from 13. Trouble with Versus is I get a hunch that the story will be as badly done as 13's. Will just have to see. :| Yeah, it's been six years, right? Perhaps Rap seemed to be the most rational evolution from all the pop music that's been shoved into the games from before? Me no-know... Me just trying to make sense of it all. :/ Yeah... Starving takes daaays to do, drowning takes forever and my sims had a nasty habit of just climbing out of the pool (even when I removed ladders), electrocution takes a lot of set up to do, and they usually don't die within the first few shocks. I forget the other ways to kill 'em, but yeah, burning seemed easiest. Just set some rugs next to a fire place, and put walls up around the sim. Roasty toasty! I needed a dead Turk sim for my Shinra Manor build that I did, so that's why one had to die. Yeah, I wonder that too, though I think there are a lot of games that have stealth incorporated at certain times, right? Assassin's Creed series, Arkham Asylum/City, Splinter Cell, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Sly Cooper Series (kind of, I guess)...many more I can't think of atm, possibly. Ah yeah.. I didn't think of needed the original version to play with others online who don't get Ultimate. ^^; I had to look up the "steel-book case" that you mentioned. It is pretty nice~! Oh wow. I had no idea you could play as Yorda. That seems cool. Do you have to hold Ico's hand? Not a fan of rap myself, and the lyrics were just terrible. Something about smiley faces? xD Square are crazy. Rap really doesn't seem to fit with the Final Fantasy games. Plus you need it to play other people with the original. If you ever get the HD version you can! The HD version American ICO/SOTC is based off the European versions. Everything we got is there; translation, ability to play as Yorda on second playthrough, Water Melon ending, Shining Sword/Light-Saber weapon. I guess you could call it a 'downside' but the downside is that our SOTC is harder ( colossus take more stabs to kill). So it's harder and broken. (note: I could be wrong about SOTC, but I know your HD ICO is definitely our ICO) Heh-heh-heh. I guess either the guys at the site didn't notice or just don't mind I didn't write anything in weeks. They emailed today saying they were sending me a review copy of Tekken Hybrid. It's one of those things you want, but not quite enough to justify spending money on, so pretty chuffed over that. That music doesn't really do much in the way of getting me pumped up in battle. Not really diggin' the whole rap stuff or whatever. :/ The theme in XIII reg. was pretty sweet though. If you do enough of it, hoop dancing should help you there, yeah. Helps to teach your body to move a little more interestingly, shall we say. One of the nice things about hoop dancing is you can do it whilst playing video games with a wireless controller when you become confident. What does it entail...hmm..first you start off learning to spin the hoop on your middle without dropping it for long amounts of time, then there's all these cool "tricks" you can learn..maybe it would be easier just to link you a video or two. I like mingames/sidequests that are FUN, not tedious and grindy, which is what a majority of FF X's stuff felt like to me. Yeah, the stuff in XIII looks like they might be a good time-waster, but I guess I'll know for sure once I get a copy (if I do...still debating that one....) I still have a couple of months to think it over. :3 Heh, my mom wants me to make pie crusts with her this week for Thanksgiving... I don't even like pie that much...but I'll do my best. ^^ Keep fingers crossed that I don't burn the house down. xD Good point. I probably should enjoy it while it lasts. ^^ I still need to look up exactly what hoop dancing entails, but if you say it's easy and fun, then I'll def be giving it a shot. Maybe it'll help me build some confidence to do some actual dancing. xD That reminds me of the one (and only) time I went out to a club. I was just standing around, and some guy comes up and grabs my arm and was like "Let's go dance!" I was like "I don't know how!" and he was like "Me neither! Let's go anyway!" I didn't wind up dancing, btw. Too shy. Holy cow... The difficulty level was rated as "brutal"? I know you said it was hard...but seeing the actual rating makes it seem more...valid. Not that I didn't believe you, I just can't think of a better word to describe it. Yeah, I read up on the wiki about the items. They seemed like they would be mighty helpful, and yes, very fun too. I'd like to get the parachute thingie, and then jump off a high place and have Wander float down. I'd be all "WHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!" x3 Speaking of more games set to arrive, I saw reviews for Skyward Sword. They are looking very VERY good, saying things like "Best Zelda EVER", and giving perfect scores (IGN anyway...). Ugh... I thought I was done with my Wii, but then Nintendo had to go and drag me back in with Zelda goodness (supposedly). Are you much on Zelda games? Well, you seem plenty smart to me, squidgy-brained or not. :3 Yeah, I'd be a merciful one too. "You attract more flies with honey", and all that. Even in games, I feel bad about going "rogue", even though it doesn't particularly effect anything of vast importance. I haven't had a chance to talk to him since, but I hope his present arrived by now. Pretty sure it has, though he was complaining before about how the mail carriers in his area were pretty inept at their job. :/
