  1. Right. When something's not understood I just go back and try to find something I missed. Oh, well. You can't please everyone. Just the majority if you play your cards right.

Speaking of which, I know it's Yu-Gi-Oh. You're obviously trying to distract me now x_x
  2. The pilot unfortunately does cause confusion for people. I try to explain it as much as I can that it is not canon and only meant to give you a taste of what you're going to read, but it still fails. I haven't heard as many problems lately from people after I got extremely explicit about the difference. So I'm guess that typing in caps drove the point home. >.> Still it is people's fault for not reading clearly. Reading comprehension is important. >.>

I guess I've scared you off huh? It's just a little Yugioh, you like Yugioh. ;p
  3. You wouldn't want to confuse everybody, so maybe some changes would be needed. Other than that it would be a good way to introduce the story to an outsider ^^

    I'm not clicking that >>
  4. The pilot changed some things and did a lot of new stuff that never happened in the story. But it was meant to be a slice of the story with all of the ideas tossed in. The biggest departure is that Ayumi had a different approach.

    Don't like Yugioh? ;p BROOKLYN RAGE(with lyrics) - YouTube
  5. To be honest, I only read some of the pilot as I wanted to get to the first chapter already ^^ You already had my attention so I didn't think it would kill me to skip the last part of it.

Hm. This isn't some evil plan to distract me, is it? >>
  6. Well I'd want to clean it up some more before I did that, but it would be nice if it convinced someone. That was the design of the pilot.

There's plenty more where that came from. ^^ ShadyVox - Stronger - YouTube The theme song to the abridged movie for you.
  7. It's really all I can say, but just keep trying. All they need to do is at least read the Pilot for Shift. Probably 5-10 minutes of their time right there.

    Ha. Hysterical.
  8. Yeah, I'll be doing what I can. Though there is not really a good market for OEL stories in the US. And unless my story was unparalleled in Japan, which it isn't, no one is Japan is even going to give me the time of day. I find it highly unlikely that they would ever even think about looking outside of Japan for manga/light novel authors.

I'm glad you liked it. The moment you said that I had to show you the video. That's abridging for you. Kakashi Milk Song - YouTube
  9. As I said before, time will tell. Do everything on your end to make yourself known and fate will take care of the rest. The story's already getting good where I'm at so I know you can do it if you get luck on your side

Oh, geez. I died laughing xD
  10. So long as nothing happens to stop me, I'll get through it eventually. If I suddenly become a professional writer for some strange stroke of luck, then it'll be done a lot sooner. But I'll keep writing on it. I'm 4 years into it, so I'm not about to stop now, not when I'm getting to the good stuff.

Card games of motorcycles? Cardgames on motorcylces - YouTube >.>
  11. Hey, determination and perseverance will help you get through it all. I'm hoping you'll get done.....eventually ;p

Speaking of stories, I only have an idea of what the ending of mine would be, and now that I have planned for having five (short) story arcs, I might add more if time passes. It won't be just card games on motorcycles (and other things) that I have planned. Time will tell
  12. You saw my arc list. I have the next five years planned out and the next ten years roughly planned out. And the next twenty years I'm hoping I'm finished. >.> I don't know how long of a story this is going to be currently. I know roughly how many arcs there will be. But I do end up with new arcs while I'm writing that I want to include. So it sort of expands. It used to be a five year project, but now I know that is impossible. So now it is a ten year project with the likelihood of it being even longer than that. Fortunately, later arcs should not be as massive as the second arc. They'll still be long, just not 150 to 200 chapters long.

But yes, you'll likely be caught up in a couple of months.
  13. I'll definitely be caught up by then ;p Two years is a long time, though. But it sounds like you already have everything set up. Or at least a solid foundation to make things easier, so that's good.
  14. He's definitely got a complicated life. I'm looking forward to the third arc, which is going to be really interesting to do. The third arc is going to be a very difficult and emotional arc for everyone involved. Plus I finally will get some pay off for things I set up in the first arc. Unfortunately, it's going to be another two years probably before I get to the third arc.
  15. I figured. Maybe it'll get better for him later on so while I hold on to that thought I'll go ahead and read more. Well, starting tomorrow anyway.
