Haha! I noticed that you had a new avi. I like this one a lot better than the green one. The green one wasn't bad, but this one seems more suitable to the character, and to you since it's orange. I don't think it's really the size of the calligraphy that makes it hard to read, rather it's the shiny effect that you used in the corner that makes it so. I know how much you like your shiny effect, though. I think it's a nice touch with the words of the theme song displayed in the background. I think you should try that with some of your banners. It's a neat thing to have. Oh and as for you not eating much, you say that now, but if we stopped at a dessert place, I know you could definately put a lot of those delicious goodies away in your belly! Especially if those goodies happen to be.... CHEESECAKES!!!
Oh, and yeah, new avatar made? xD As per the promise, it's Hope again. You can see it now, but it's small. Here's the 190 x 190 image that I had to resize it to to meet the criteria. I do realize that my name is hard to read, but I wanted a calligraphic font, and that's the price I had to pay, I guess. xD And in case you wanted to see, here's the ORIGINAL 400 x 400 image that I made in Photoshop, where you can clearly see the grunge border and words. In case you're curious, the words are the lyrics to "My Hands," since it's FFXIII's song. xD I haven't heard it, I just Googled the lyrics. =P

So if there was only three entries, and one was not visible and you didn't know where yours went, does that mean that the last one remaining would have been the winner by default? Colorado to New York is quite distance, but I think if you had enough desserts in you, you could probably make the trip! I bet if we get enough people involved that we could get at least one of those approved. I know that I would like to do it, and Vivi said he would too. So now with you, that's three that's on board with the idea. We'll definately need more than three to get those contests off the ground.

Hooray for Photobucket. xD I was thinking of making larger fragmented particles on that part that really add some shine, but I didn't have those brushes. If I had increased the size, I would have had to erase all those other particles except for like four. Oo So much time... And yeah, I thought the thing looked strange on the upper-right corner. I couldn't get it to GLOW, so I just left it. But I can't remove it because it'd look bare there without it. =P I went through and looked at some of the submissions last year. We have different people now, so I'm anxious to see the different styles and such. Wouldn't it be great if we both got the highest votes? xD
It's working now. Oh, now this really does look fantastic! It definately has a "pop" to it, which catches the eye and makes the viewer pay attention to it. I do have a bit of an issue with the effect on the lower right portion of the banner. I don't think I like how there are the floating bits of that bright yellow-white color on the outside of the ray effect (the ones that looks like dots). They only appear there, so it looks a bit out of place. I would either do the effect again somewhere else, or I would get rid of them. One more thing. On the upper right part, I don't think that big ray of golden yellow is needed, but it doesn't bother me that it's there. Your call if you'd like to keep it. I can't wait to see everyone's work! I'm so excited! Winning isn't important to me, but I'm like you and hopefully I'll get a vote or two!
