Oh, I thought you meant 'uber baked'. As in 'uber baked'.
As in I won't get much sleep the night before. It looks awesome.
I've been waiting for the new Tarantino too. And uber stoked as in... 'uber stoked'?
Just watched the video on YouTube. Très bien. I'll chuck that album on iTunes while I'm 'ere. I think I'm seeing Inglourious Basterds on Tuesday, and I'm uber stoked.
You'll like Nantes by Beirut. It's their best song I think.
I know of Beirut, and have heard a bit, but I 'don't listen' to them. My brother has an album of theirs, but I haven't taken the time to listen to all of it yet.
Oh, and 'Me Gustas Tu' means 'I love you'. 'Me gusta ...' means 'I love/like ...'.
Yeah, Manu Chao is pretty popular among more alternative people in Europe. Their other really famous song is 'Bongo Bong'. And you didn't mention Beirut, so I guess you know that band?
Wow, Manu Chao is really good. It would be kool if I knew what they were saying, but still, really good. I wouldn't say Fat Freddy's is New Zealand's pride, but they good IMO. I'm not too hot on electro. I haven't really ventured further than The Prodigy. And that Attaque video scares me. It's good music, it sounds like another band, whose name escapes me, but those masks... *shudders*
You had never heard of Manu Chao? They're pretty famous. Listen to their song Me Gustas Tu. It was a major hit like around 2000, but maybe only in Europe, dunno. And that Fat Freddy's Drop band. I just heard about them 2 days ago. What a coincidence. It's always like when you get to know something new, suddenly it's everywhere. and Justice is a pretty famous electro band from France. Louise Attaque is folky stuff from Paris, France: Je t'emmène au Vent is a song I think you'll like. The rest is Belgian. dEUS is the biggest and most influential one. The rest is probably not even known outside of Belgium. But dEUS is. They're kind of our pride. And one of my favourite bands.
Manu Chao I'd never heard of. So I looked him up on Wiki and listened to a sample. Sounds rad, reggae influence. Sounds like a Kiwi band called Fat Freddy's Drop. The Black Box Revelation dEUS Justice Louise Attaque Mintzkov Millionaire Girls in Hawaii I haven't heard of those. I'm guessing they're the Belgian ones?
And I forgot the Stones! See... impossible.
I was still editing that post and you already commented on it -_-" Really difficult to make a list. Like there are bands I know have great albums and I own them, but. Pffsh. Impossible to explain. Like Franz Ferdinand. I have their first two albums, but they're not my taste at the moment you know? I like listening to bands I haven't listened to in a while again. Which ones don't you know?
Yeah but they give a pretty good picture. I can imagine plenty of bands you'd like just based on your taste from that list. So they're handy.
And I forgot The Who. I love The Who.
