I wouldn't be able to say as Gin was never my drink. If going for spirits I'll generally go some Czech Absinthe, Jamaican Rum or Kentucky Bourbon (no-one does it better). In fact, I'm not sure I know of any decent Australian spirits other then Bundaberg Rum. :/
I had half of case of Australian that I kept for special occasions. Well, I ended up making a half of case worth of occasions. The stuff in stores in the NA region that are supposed to be Australian isn't the same. Australian became my wine default anyhow. What does the down under have on gin? Keep in mind, the kind that is good for a martini.
Roo's tasty, but tougher then rabbit so you need a cook who knows what he's doing. As for wine, I agree completely. I went from collecting wine in general to solely collecting Australian wine unless it was an international bottle of some reknown. It's almost a pity drinking a bottle like that, especially when you just spent a couple grand buying a bottle at maturity...
I saw some pretty neat avatars and signatures at tinypic.com for Parasite Eve 3. There's one animated av with falling water in it I thought was good. I've been half way around the world, and my #1 thing seeing other countries was the local cuisine. As soon as I arrive, I go to try out the local food and beer. I have never had better wine than what I had in Australia. I never had kangaroos, however, and I was thinking of trying the burgers. I recently went to the zoo and saw kangaroos. Now, I'm not sure I want a burger if I ever go back to Australia. I'm a 30y old, straight man, and even I will say they are just too =&|# cute.
