Honestly, before I get into discussion with movies, please note that I am probably the worst movie critic ever, so don't take much of what I say seriously. I saw Punch Drunk Love in movie theaters, and I must say while the plot was original, I felt the story was still somewhat dumb as a love story but there were parts of it that seemed to mesh well, like the sisters' treatmen towards Barry and the love-obsession he has for this woman. The whole phone sex storyline part was farfetched, to say the least. The other one that I disagree with is probably Lost in Translation. Although like I said before, it was something fresh and new, I think that the story tried to get at too much at once, like dealing with the whole loneliness with themselves, with being in a different country, and with their marital relationships. Plus the whole ending left the future of the two in too much question for me. That is just me though.
