You wanted to try the Ys series? For starting out, I would recommend either Ys: Oath in Felghana or Ys Seven. Start with Oath in Felghana and see what you think of that, if you liked it, you'll enjoy Ys SEVEN as well. If you like both of the games there will be another Ys game next year for PSP called I&II chronicles. Did I cover everything you wanted to know?
