Oh, I totally agree. And with issues like that you'd think "well why don't we take care of the shit here first?" Which would be totally logical in my opinion to do. But the reality of it, is our government won't take care of shit here first. So there's no point in cancelling our foreign aid plans, because all that would do is just cut foreign aid, and nothing here would still be done about people living on the streets and without basic things a person needs to survive.
I suppose you're right, and that we can help other nations, but at the same time, it kind of pisses me off when we have people living in Appalachia who don't even have electricity or running water, or people who are so ridiculously poor because they're just stuck in a broken system where they have no chance of ever making it out. Or how stupid and ineffective the system is, like that girl in Michigan who won half a million, bought two houses and cars, and still collected welfare because she overspent and was having trouble paying off her bills
