  1. How's life girl, doing anything special for Halloween?
  2. Hah, birds... <.<" Reminds me of what happened to me.. I think a year ago. xD" I was driving to the train station, as usual, when some birds passed me by. I had the strange feeling one of them wanted to commit suicide, because it flew right into my car. XD" (There were many suicide-birds on the streets last year, to be precise xD) Okay, no problem for me, I just acted as if nothing had happened. Yet, when I drove home, I realized that I'd really killed a bird. (Or rather: it killed itself xD") Wouldn't be a problem... IF IT WEREN'T HANGING ON MY CAR!!! >_< As I'm a girl, I don't know what this thing is called.. but in front of my car there was this bird, hanging lifeless. And there were quite some people surrounding me. So I had no chance but to - again xD - act as if I'd seen nothing. Some people were looking strangely at my car because of this bird there... and I thought: "Holy sh*t... hopefully there'll be no kid on the street! If a kid saw a dead bird hanging on my car...." Guess what happened. XD There was a kid who stared at the bird... Damn, I'll never forget that! XD
    Buuuuut, the moral of this story is: No matter how embarrassing driving can be - you'll laugh about most of it after a few weeks xD

    Yeah, it's always quite strange to act like a child again, as we're forced to act like grown-ups. <.< But I love to play with kids. <3 I always feel so... free when playing with them. <3
    Sounds as if your school system is... kinda splitted. Oo You basically have no school you attend after Elementary School? Then how many different classes have you had? You must've met quite many people along the way oo

    Hehe, I'm also quite silent, and I didn't talk much in class. That's why all my marks in oral exams were bad. xD" The teachers always said the opposite of yours: They told my parents I was so silent and that I should interact more in class. xD
  3. Well at least you managed to slam those breaks good, knowing myself right it feels like I'd rather just run the kid over or drive into a ditch. ...orsomething. I hate animals on the road too, I always think we'll run over them or something, especially birds, they're so damn cocky and really don't move until in like the last second or something ughhh!

    I am REALLY no good with kids. At ALL. I feel really silly around them, i really don't remember how to interact with them. Or well, it takes a while before I feel comfortable enough around them anyway, recently I had to play with this 7 year old for a whole day, a daughter to one of my mom's friends. First I just wanted to melt away and disappear, but then I loosened up a little and at the end of the day she didn't want to leave. xD I felt oddly accomplished as a human being.
    Hmmm we have kindergarden. Our first part of school is "lågstadiet" (low level), ages 6-9. Then you move up into "mellanstadiet" (middle level sort of) age 10-12. Then we've got "högstadiet" (high level...sort of), age 13-15. And Gymnasiet, which is most commonly a three years education too, ages 16-19. But I think there are some programs that you take four years or even two perhaps, but I'm not sure. Then it's usually University. Unless you're taking a program that prepares you for some actual job in Gymnasiet, you don't really get anything unless you attend the University too. I think I might take a year off before University though, after 13 years of school I could probably use to do something else for a while. xD;

    Aah. o_o I love winter really, so I hope we'll get any snow. But autumn is probably my favourite season still, somehow.
    I guess I'm the silent type around people I don't know that well, but like in my own class, I'm probably one of the big talkers, I usually get some complaints for that when we have these...parent..meet ups. But it's really more for my own sake than that it's bothering others; I don't get much done. xD;
  4. You were interviewed?! ôô That's also pretty interesting. xD I thought handing in the pictures was everything you had to do. At least it's like that when you want to attend art classes in university over here. You just hand in some pictures and then they decide whether they accept you or not. xD" I think I would've been shy, too. xD"

    Well, a kid jumped on the road without looking... and guess who the unfortunate driver was who was on the road in exactly THAT moment. xD" I really had to slam my breaks to the fullest. <.<" That was... not a nice experience to make. ^^"
    Haha, I know how you feel about the second problem. ^^ I think currently I look like I'm still 15... when I got my driver's license I had the feeling I looked like 13, too. xD I always waited for the police to stop me and ask how old I actually was. XD

    Something inbetween. I can't handle younger children, like in Elementary School. It's not that I don't like them, but I don't know what to do with them. For me, kids have to be able to write and read - then I can work with them. XD" Besides, I want to be a teacher for English and Maths... No good with kids who are too young. xP So everything except Elementary School is fine with me. ^^ The kids I'll be teaching will be ~11 to 18 years old. Dunno which school this is in Sweden. xD"
    Philosophy sounds interesting, too, but I heard that you just had to talk to score good marks. So it wouldn't be a good idea for me. xD" If you're rather the silent type of person I wouldn't recommend it. There are always people who think they're better than you and talk all the time... that would be quite annoying. x.x Out of those two.. I would've chosen Psychology again. x3"

    I'd say we don't have much snow. And there shouldn't be much snow, I suppose. xD" I live quite near to some mountains (just saying this sounds so ridiculous XD), but not near enough to have much snow. >_o Normally we have a bit of snow every year, but not exactly much. Sometimes we've snow on the 23rd of December, but it all melts again. xD Snow mostly falls down in November and January. Inbetween: no snow ~..~
  5. Whoa, that was...a pretty deep test. xD The only thing we had to do on place was drawing a bottle + two lemons + a....box and then we were interviewed. It was still kinda awkward though, and back then I was SO shy, I've grown up a lot in that department, I realize now when I think about it.

    A very bad almost-accident? What happened? Well considering how many cars there are out there on the road, the actual accidents are uncommon I guess, but still. ....and secondly, I just can't imagine myself behind the wheel. xD The thought of me sitting there, and driving, is ridiculous haha. Especially since I look like..13 or something. XD

    Ah 8D I have a friend who wants to become a teacher. Are you interested in becoming a teacher for younger or older children? For the selectable courses I was considering between psychology or philosophy, but my friends talked me out of taking philosophy, they said I already thought too much about stuff anyway. xD..perhaps they're right.

    Oh yes, we used to have TONS of snow christmas eve. But these last four years we've had pretty much none. Just like..a thin layer at most. It's like someone has pushed the seasons a little forward, if we get major snow now, it's usually not before the middle of january now. But how is it with the snow in your parts? o_o Do you live in an area where snow is common or just...well not common.
    AND I KNOW, ME TOO. XD I sit with my back against the window, and every time I turn around to look out, I go all "oh" when I realize it's not snow outside.
  6. Ah, I've heard of such forms of tests. Way better than it was for me. xD" We had to come to the school, sit down in a kind of exam room and draw there... We had to draw two pictures that day: One with pretty much just food (XD), grey scale, one in color. The first was actually more fun than the second. x3" We had some snacks on our tables which we had to draw. The second was... well, I'm not good at thinking of a picture myself. xD" So it was rather difficult for me, especially as we had a topic. We had to draw a picture of the future. If someone in the year 4000 found technology we use these day - what would that be? I think that was the topic .-."

    Hah, I would take the driving lessons now, if I were you. xD" I've had a... very bad almost-accident once and I didn't want to drive again. I was afraid it could happen again (I was mostly afraid of really having an accident xD"). But after driving for another few weeks, it was mostly gone. .-." I wasn't afraid anymore, because I knew that it would probably never happen again. So if you're afraid: Do what frightens you most. (That is actually one of the things we also learned in Psychology classes xD)

    I've already finished Psychology classes. ^^ And I'm somehow glad I won't have them anymore. xD" At university I'll only learn about Psychology in schools (as I want to become a teacher :3"). Some things really were interesting and it was fun at first, but then I realized that it didn't help me in any way. You won't be able to help someone even after attending those classes. Neither will you understand humans better. We just learned theories (like Freud's, Skinner's, Beck's, etc.) and there was no analysis of people. We just had some fictional cases which were far away from reality. xD"
    In our last year we learned something about therapies, too, but we still can't help anyone... :/

    Hehe, I also remember, when I was younger, we played much outside in winter (snowball fights, building snowmans, such stuff xD). There had been snow. Now it's rare to have snow. .,.
    Did you ever have snow on Christmas Eve?
    (Man, all this talk about snow makes me think it's winter XD)
  7. Ah, we had a test too, but it was nothing major really. We had to turn in some of our works, I think it was like...a grey scale picture, one in colour, and then the last entry could be whatever you wanted, sculpture or whatever. I actually have psychology as one of my selectable courses xD I don't remember if I'm going to start taking it next period, or if it is in my last year though. Right now I'm just taking an introduction course in driving, so that I'll get it for free, which it wouldn't have been outside school. I had actually seriously considered starting to take driving lessons, but after a few weeks of this course I'm....not really that interested anymore, all we're talking about are car accidents and road kills etc etc...haha.

    AND NO NO NO not at all. The human body is probably what I enjoy drawing the most anyway, so actually getting to take a life drawing class was just well AH I have been looking forward for it in over a year, since we got to know about it when I was in first grade. Our model was really fun to draw too, and the man who instructed us were really good also. : )
    We actually used mirrors for our selfportraits, and I'm no good at it, hence why it's been taking me such a long time. Sometimes what we do in school sort of takes out the rest of your motivation to draw other things, for the moment I don't draw nearly as much as I used to, but then again I have longer days and way more homework than I did earlier. Really draws your spirit out.
    But psychology, that's really interesting. o-o But you haven't started yet, had you?

    It's...definitely global warming XD At least it makes the most sense. I mean we've had winters with barely any snow at all before, but these many years in a row. When I was around 3-10 we had LOADS of snow. And it STAYED. Sometimes as far as into the end of april. (It wasn't that much left by then, but still.) But in the most northmost areas of Sweden, I think there's still lots of snow in the winter. o_o;
  8. Ah, I know which kind of school you mean! =D
    I also tried to have art classes in school, but I failed because there was a test before you could take those classes. -.- So I decided to do Psychology instead. It was a bit easier I suppose, as I can't really draw anymore and I don't think I'd be able to do it. (And it's no fun for me.)
    You.. had a nude model? o.o" Weren't you at least a bit embarrased? (Okay, depending on the gender of the model ^^" But I'd be embarrased if I had to draw a naked person - even if I had to draw a woman. ^^")
    I had to draw a portrait of a classmate once (we had only few art classes.. two hours/week only .-.") and it was quite much fun. He wasn't really talented, to his picture of me didn't really look like me. xD
    As for your father... why was the portrait near his cup of coffee anyways? xD" Hopefully he won't spill some on your next portrait... :/
    Btw. do you look into the mirror to draw yourself or do you have a picture of you somewhere? ^^

    Hah, yesterday I was out quite long. At least it felt as if I've stayed outside very long. I've gone home by train and it usually takes ~30 minutes (train's always delayed -.-). When I got into the train it was darkening. When I looked outside after ~10 minutes it was quite dark. When I arrived at the station I had to get out.. it was pitch black outside. O.o" And it was from 7.30 to 8 pm. xD"
    In the morning... hm, I don't really know. When I got up at 6 am it wasn't dark anymore (sun was about to rise x3). When I arrived at work at 7 am it was still a bit dark. And then I didn't really see when it wasn't dark anymore. xD"
    (And I also have problems getting up when it's dark outside. xD")
    No snow? ôô Oh, I wouldn't have thought you had no snow. xD" We also don't have much anymore (global warming, wasn't it? XD), but sometimes there's also so much that we can barely go outside. It's not that we can't open the door anymore, but it'd be difficult to go by car. xD
  9. It's not really an art school, it's more like..well I really don't know what the american/english counterpart to our "gymnasiet" would be, but it's the school before you attend universities anyway! The direction I've chosen is art, but there are also music and theatre classes in our program, so sometimes we mix classes and do something together. I think I have about 8-9 hours of art every week or so, and we really just try everything there is to try. Right now we're doing an architecture group project, and we just finished two weeks of life drawing with a nude model. (Which was SO much fun. when I have time I need to look for someone who holds life drawing somewhere.) And yeah I'm so fed up with self portraits. I actually made one, but my dad oh so cleverly spilled coffee all over it, so that's why I'm still not finished with it.

    Hmmm in the morning..I think it starts to clear up around 7-8 am somewhere. When I wake up now around 6 it's dark outside anyway. I'm not used to it yet so getting out of bed is getting harder...how is it around your parts?
    AHAHA snow. XDD God gracious we haven't had any real snow in years. Not as it used to be when I was younger anyway, when we really did have loads of snow every winter, and for a long time. In some years now there haven't been much snow at all. Though last year, I had my first snow day, when we suddenly over night got so much snow that we barely could get the door open, and all the busses that day were cancelled. But that was in the end of NOVEMBER and just for a couple of days. Otherwise there weren't any real snow at all, none that stayed for more than a week anyway. Further up in Sweden there might've been more though.
  10. Hehe, you won't need long to find a comic in which Vincent'll have something in his eyes. xD Normally it happens in every comic. :3 I hope you'll enjoy the comics. I really laughed much when reading them for the first time. ^^

    You're doing art classes? Are you in an art school or something like that? oo Or is it just a subject?
    Self-portrait sounds like much work. xD" Hopefully you're done soon. :/

    I've been to Denmark once, when I was.. about 3 years old. XD So I don't remember how dark it was. I think it's quite dark all over the world at 4 pm in Winter. How long will it be dark in the morning? ^^
    Oh and how much snow do you have? Is it cold over there? xD I just can't imagine a country that was described to me as dark and cold. xD
  11. WHOA she's got LOTS of Vincent related things going on there in her gallery, I'll have to go through it all to find the comic when I have time later on, I really have to work on my selfportrait for now, it should've been finished MONTHS ago. (This is the school related things btw, I am SO behind in my art classes right now. More stressful than fun for the moment, I'm afraid. x_x)

    Haha it depends on how far up on the globe you live too. xD I think it's rather dark in Norrland now, but around my parts (I live about 2 hours from Stockholm by bus) it doesn't really get dark until around 7 pm now. It'll get worse though, later in December it's pitch dark around 4 pm. Denmaaaark, it's been a while since I've been over down there, it's a really nice country.

    GOOD FOR YOU. XD I have SO much homework and art assignments to do, as already mentioned. I'm such a slow worker~
  12. You can read the comic. :3 If I remember correctly, I saw it on deviantart.com and the author's name was... wazy. Man, I have to look if she's got some new stuff yet. XD

    Well, I suppose it's darker than in other countries. xP My father once told me that everything was quite dark in Scandinavia. But I don't remember where he's been to. Denmark perhaps. Dunno~

    School related things... sounds fun. ^^ Y'know, I still have two weeks 'till university starts, so... I'll enjoy doing NOTHING at all. x3~~ (Hah, sorry, couldn't resist XD)
  13. Aah sorry for my late reply, I've been busy actually doing school related things for some days now. ;__;

    Haha I'd like to see that comic. xD

    Ah really? o-o Maybe I just don't travel around here enough to be able to appreciate it more than I do. It's such a nice atmosphere here now when it's shifting to autumn though, walking down to the bus in the morning feels so fresh. (As if it isn't like this in other places of the world though, heh.)
  14. Hehe, again, seeing the pic makes me happy. XD It reminds me on some web comics of FFVII which I found a while ago. There were some stories about Vincent who always had something in his eyes... xD

    Nope, I'm not from Sweden, but I know someone who claims to be from over there. ^^ I like Scandinavia quite a lot, especially the languages. Someday I have to learn one. .-."
  15. Haha I'm glad something as simple as my icon could make someones day! xD (Now I shouldn't be taking any credit though, as I found it ages ago on some webpage...) It never ceases to crack me up either XD Especially not imagining Basch actually saying it...

    And not bothersome at all, it's just fun to talk. You're from Sweden yourself?
