oh my god, they're going to have DQ9 be multiplayer? I wonder how that is going to work out. That game looks legit though, I saw the teaser trailer and I'm sure it will be promising, I'm just bummed its on the DS out of all systems. Guess I gotta go to target now or something lol
I definitely liked the story structure of Dragon Quest IV; in the chapter 5 they brought all the previous chapters into one allowing the player to see the impact and importance of each chapter prior. A new feature in the DS remake for Dragon Quest VI is that it has a Slime Curling mini-game in lieu of the Winter Olympics just recently. I did play some of the DQ VI ROM but not for long; I wasn't able to switch jobs but a job system is usually always cool. As for Dragon Quest IX - Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia this should answer any of your questions.
Excellent! I think the only DQ game I haven't given a playthrough before is DQ4, which from what I hear is one of the arguably best games in the series haha. and DWM is much superior over the Pokemon games, sadly they never got enough credit . Oh, I also have yet to play DQ8, but I saw it for cheap at Gamestop so once I clear through a backlog of some games I might give it a shot. DQ6 is extremely fun! Combine the battle mechanics and monster recruiting of DQ5, add in a class system for all the characters (even monsters!), change the day/night system into a dark/light world a la A Link to the Past style, and you have DQ6. My favorite game for the SNES by far. DQ7 was also very good, it was like the marathon of DQ games though, I rushed through the 2nd disc and it still took like 115 hours to beat the game, so if anything it should give you something to do over the summer lol. Another fun game, as long as you have the patience to sit through the first 30 hours or so. I haven't heard anything for DQ9 though, what is that game supposed to be like?
HELL YES!!!! I have beaten Dragon Quest I -V and VIII. I also have Dragon Warrior Monsters and Dragon Quest Monster: Joker. And Dragon Quest IX is getting closer to release in the U.S (July 11). All I would need is DQ VI which should be released (DS remake) in the states late this year or early next; it was released in late January in Japan of this year & DQ VII which I'll get from amazon.com.
damn I completely forgot about DQ5, good call there! That game had a lot of sad parts, but all's well that ends well. Are you a big fan of the DQ series?
Thanks Mr. Judge sir of FF12 :3
You're rad Yosuke Hanamura
The story is supposedly pretty good so I decided to give it a try. The battle system is also is pretty decent as well though it can be a bit quirky. For exampele the player can only control one character at a time but the other(s) are not AI controlled; the player switches between characters to fit the situation. Enemies don't re-spawn and chi affects the player's attack strength and chi is needed to use an attack of a its certain element. Enemies use up the player's chi resource as well but then the enemies can keep on attacking because they have the ability to draw their chi without help. It is a game not for everyone but if the player can get past the set-backs it is decent.
You are right, I haven't played Magna Carta. Since it's not the the VAs that got you hooked, what is it about the game that you like? Just curious, looking for a new game to play. Idk, voice acting has been touchy for me. It seems like either the dialogue is bad or the voices are bad, and if theyre both not spot on for me, then I can get annoyed real quick and I zone out/skip dialogue to get through it. If it were up to me, I would ban voice acting in just about every rpg game possible lol. Props to you for being able to put up with it though.
I'm guessing since you left that out of your post you haven't played Magna Carta: Tears of Blood because that is known for having bad voice-acting. Try looking up some scenes on youtube, if they have any and check it out, FFX is a lot better compared to that game. I'm just not that critical on some matters, voice-acting one of them. I'm not the person saying I want the japanese voice-acting in my games or I prefer to watch anime, whenever I do, in japanese; I don't hate on English voice-actors. Doesn't mean I like all of them, I found Yuki to be particulary annoying and Magna Carta does have a lot of bad spots but I can deal with it.
Gonna get you, SPACE BOY!!!
nah I'm good dawg.
Pssst. Yo Rocko. It could only be taken as "the most homosexual thing you've heard" with the first sentence, however as you have it the rest of the quote clarifies the context. However, if you find the above not sufficient, I could do the same to your initial response to me and we can both be the most homosexual things in the universe, drinking Gay Thirst. BROOOOOOOOWN EYE!!!
