The essence of the WG problem is not that people wast bandwidth or time or whatever, that is their choice. The essence is that there are members who could be seen posting in other, more valuable sections of TFF, if only we could motivate them to do so. I believe getting rid of Word Games would stimulate activity in other subforums. Some expect the opposite.
Haha thanks. I do enjoy allusions to religion, as well as being a lapsed Catholic
Nice sig, the thing about Block.
Haha, most of the time it's the other way around, I know.
Hehe yeah. I saw how you made the same point, albeit in a more serious tone.
We are totally on the same wavelength right now
I'd like to see that!!!
haha, I know! I figured I'd run with the Sesame Street crew until it lost it's luster, and then I'd switch back to my 8-bit goodness. Maybe I'll start my old tradition of creatively editing my sprite again, to fit the season/ holidays.
Dude, you changed your avatar!
Oh, I like Twin Peaks. I haven't seen any films by David Lynch though.
So you're into obscure films? Bad films or B-movies that are good because they're rather bad? I haven't seen that much cult films other than the classics like Reservoir Dogs, Fight Club. And I don't count Scarface, because that one has surpassed it's 'cult' status by far. I don't usually like B-movies, but I can have a good laugh watching a Steven Seagal movie. One of the best action movies I've seen is definitely The Dark Knight. I was pleasantly surprised that a superhero movie could be that good. It's a bit too epic at times, but the ending is perfect for that kind of film. I don't like cliches in films in general, so maybe that's why I'm not into B-movies either.
I haven't seen Zodiac, but I've wanted to, and I loved Fight Club. Panic Room was pretty terrible, so I won't even go there. I also like cult stuff. One of my favorite movies of all time is The Warriors. It's comically bad at times, but I still find it absolutely amazing.
I haven't seen Se7en yet, but I love The Game and especially Fight Club. Obviouslyy, they're great scripts, but I don't think Fight Club could have been as good with another director. I really dig the dark atmosphere Finchers movies have. I liked Zodiac, even though it was pretty long. Panic Room is absolute shite in my opinion. The story isn't thát good, and Fincher admitted that he made a more typical movie with Panic Room. I'm into cult stuff, but I think Pulp Fiction is a little bit overrated. Plus, it looks older than it is, due to the graphic quality.
Ahh, gotcha. I'll give any film a chance, but I really love comedies, pure action movies and the occasional crime-thriller. Benjamin Button was a great movie. The three hours really fly by, which to me is very impressive. Se7en is also one of my favorite movies, and I've always preferred Predator to the Alien series.
I didn't mean new films per se. I don't follow new films at all actually. There's too much great stuff from the 90's (and, obviously, from before that) I haven't seen yet. I'm a Fincher fan. I still have to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Se7en and Alien 3 (the version he wanted to be released) though. What kind of films do you like in general? Action movies, romantic hollywood stuff, crime, psychology, cult films?
