Hahaha oh, I'm keeping it in mind. Only picture I have from any of that is something my brother took of me with a .22 rifle. Not nearly as badass looking, but it ain't bad.
Gorgeous redhead firing something that looks like an assault rifle? Please tell me you got pictures. And I told you -- three birds with one stone on your New Years' Resolutions .
Today, I fired an AR15 and destroyed a plastic Folgers container... and thought of you hahaha.
Oh, I can cook a steak however you'd like it. And damn well, at that.
If we agree on steak, we might be all set.
Just you. The thread was going in the direction of arguments (unlike other threads) and, in case you'd like me to repeat this, I was getting complaints and concerns about that thread. Plus, with Phantom on ban probation, he's not REALLY supposed to be making risky topics anyway. And don't worry about my true colors. It was never my intention to make them apparent to you.
A few posts within a few hours strayed from South Park to the more general topic -- not the one the thread starter brought up -- which was hypocrisy in what people decide to have problems with and what people accept or ignore. With the thread being in General Chat and not ID, the introductory topic is not extremely important (seeing as most other current GC threads have strayed from their original topics as well, but strangely are still open). Instead of trying to get it back on the topic you wished it to be on, or contributing to the topic at all, you continued in the same direction, then closed the thread because you didn't like the direction it was going. Not that I have a huge problem with that happening, it's just that now I know your true colors and what to expect in the future. Now I'm just left to wonder who else got negative rep from you ... ah, who am I kidding.
No, I closed it because it was going way off topic and I was getting complaints. We discussed it in the Shinra forum and since I am the mod of general chat, I took care of the situation. A thread "going my way" would include several personal epiphanies on your part about what kind of person you have turned out to be. So in that way, no, it was not going my way at all.
Just practicing a little harmless satire on folks who are way too literal. You are a very sensitive person and don't let anyone tell you different.
Short answer: Yes. I'll get back to you when I don't have a long road trip in the morning.
"You are also a white heterosexual Christian male. I doubt you know what it's like to face the daily injustices that minorities face." -And because you've never lead a fireteam in combat doesn't mean you can't possibly know anything about it. "I'm not saying you should feel shitty about being a white male. You can't help that. But I do think there should be some degree of understanding that you have a great deal of advantages for those things you have no control over." -What "advantages"? There are government programs in te United States specifically designed to promote minorities. There are scholarships available to people of each specific minority race. There are people who have made their name and reputation -- and their fortune -- on fighting white people on racial issues, most of which were never racial issues at all. So please tell me, how are white people "advantaged" in America? I don't mean schools and neighborhoods and such -- hose would have been an excuse last generation, but not this one. Today, there is no excuse for not succeeding. "I have a hunch that you'll deny that. And that's why I'd consider you idealistic in that way." -You'd call me an idealist for disagreeing with you?
You are also a white heterosexual Christian male. I doubt you know what it's like to face the daily injustices that minorities face. And that's fine, I don't know what that's like either. Being a woman is my only frame of reference, but I still understand that being white (even in these politically correct times) comes with advantages in this country. I'm not saying you should feel shitty about being a white male. You can't help that. But I do think there should be some degree of understanding that you have a great deal of advantages for those things you have no control over. I have a hunch that you'll deny that. And that's why I'd consider you idealistic in that way.
I've lived in more than a dozen places in four states in the U.S., from country to city, I think I have a pretty good grasp on how equal our rights and opportunities are.
I don't think you're a racist person. I don't think you have any kind of hatred for minorities. But sometimes, I think you have a lot of idealism when it comes to how equal everyone actually is in American society.
So are you saying that I'm not a racist, or that I'm "not really" a racist? You're right in that I'm not very diplomatic most of the time. I'm different when I need to be, like when I'm actually trying to convince somebody of something.
