  1. I believe you are thinking of the state of Michigan which is near to the 5 great lakes. The 5 great lakes are: Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie, and Ontario.

I like geography as well though they never really taught the subject at my schools that much. It was very bare bones which seems to be how it is treated across the U.S.
  2. woow , you have the 5 lakes right I think one is called metshijin heh not sure sorry I love Geography but need to review my info
  3. Yep, it is on east coast and Washington D.C borders the state.

    The red state is Virginia.
  4. is there a state called Virginia ? I once read about a writer called Virgina Woolf 's I think she wrote Mrs Dallway not sure but she killed herself at the end just like Ernest Hemingway and talked about the stream of consciousness
  5. I live in the U.S. in the state of Virginia. I've lived in Virginia ever since November 1996. Before moving to Virginia, I lived in New York. Most of my family comes from New York though as the years went by, we spread out.
  6. the same with you but wait I even donno where you live ?
We have 2 days off each week ( week end ) + the seasonal holidays
  7. Is your schooling all year with short breaks or do you have an extended amount of time off?
  8. No I usually don't coz I have to attend my lectures early so I must sleep early but those days we have exceptions ^^
we are in vacation right now and I'm spending it in my sister's house so we stay up late at night ^_^ but soon I will have the same roten back again once school starts
  9. Yeah, it is pretty good and I understand, or I hope I do, the first proverb you told me.

Do you always stay up so late or should I say, till the sun has almost risen?
  10. I wonder if that is a common occurance = I wonder if other Arabic proverbs rhyme in English as well.
yes some but not all of them like A friend in need is a friend indeed it also rhymes in the Arabic one
,we almost have many proverbs in common and I wonder if you have like the previous one I told you in English ?
  11. hehe sorry my bad
I'm even curious to know about you as well
may be later coz I've got to sleep now
    bye
  12. That's so nifty = That's so interesting

I'm talking about how the Arabic proverb rhymes in English and in Arabic.

I wonder if that is a common occurance = I wonder if other Arabic proverbs rhyme in English as well.
  13. hahah no it's now 5am , we are at dawn I just have prayed Fajur
ok I'm living in Ryadh ( the capital city) and yeah inland
That's so nifty. I wonder if that is a common occurance, hmmm?

  14. That's so nifty. I wonder if that is a common occurance, hmmm?

So that must mean it is like the afternoon there. I'm not that familiar with any cities, towns, or villages - basically places of congregated settlements - in Saudi Arabia, but do you live near the coast or more inland?
  15. Yes It does and here is the beauty of a speech as I suppose
in Arabic it is written that way ًمن علمني حرفاً صرت له عبدا
And I am from Saudi Arabia
    nice to meet you ^^
