  1. Haha, what state?
  2. From? Or live? I'm from the biggest continent, but I live in the U.S.
  3. Hahahaha, yeah. Football is eccentric... I guess it's because they're on foot? Not sure. The metric system sounds sooo much nicer with all its groups of tens, too.

    Where are you from anyway?
  4. Yeah, and for some strange reason, the United States and the United Kingdom are the only two to not abandon the metric system. And it's so weird how it's soccer... I mean, American Football? That's too complicated. Football would be soccer.
  5. "It is common"... it sounds one step below "it is not uncommon" in terms of... uh... sophistication? If you ever meet foreigners and answer their questions on English, you'll quickly realize that our conventions are just bizarre and make little sense a lot of the time.
  6. You know, I find it so weird how often people tend to use the phrase "It is not uncommon" rather than just say "It is common."
  7. "Weapons." I think they all need to be marked in some way to show that they aren't legitimate, especially firearms. I was able to glimpse things like Wolfwood's cross from Trigun and Sanosuke's huge "sword" from Kenshin though, so yeah, it's not uncommon.
  8. You're allowed to bring weapons there?
  9. I think since Harry Potter is an icon it's "okay" with most people to do it. The kids get a, "Aww, that's so cute!" and even with grown wo/men they can identify somehow. The moment you get someone with spiky hair and a huge sword though... ha.

Even at conventions they probably do. There are some outlandish costumes and they may only be able to change at their hotels, so they walk back by street. Can't be too bad though, since they have ALLIES within a few paces of them.
  10. You can cosplay without people staring? I thought that's only possible at conventions. Of course, I've never been to one before.
  11. She's probably rolling in it. If you've ever been to a Borders midnight sale it becomes readily apparent. I stumbled into one... it was pretty amazing. It's one of the few events in America where people can cosplay and get away with it without one weird stare.
  12. Does J.K. Rowling even make a lot of money? I would think that the money her books sell get donated to libraries of something.
  13. Or they make it and then die shortly afterward. What a sad, sad circle of life. But since writers are artists too you probably don't have to worry about that. You may starve for a while, but you'll make it big like the Harry Potter lady.
  14. Don't artists have to die before they can have their paintings sell for millions?
  15. Yeah, it would seem you are. I'm not exactly what sort of skill you're showing off though. >_> This is why it's so hard for artists to make a decent living.
