Well, in some places like Virginia or something, they don't get snow that much, so even a warning of snow would result in cancellation of school. But over here in Colorado, we constantly get snow, so it takes a blizzard for cancellation. It's so unfair! Once, we had a giant blizzard that got me to stay home from school for three days. By the time I went back, there were tress collapsing...
We could go outside, but nobody actually wanted to. I think the temperature was below zero that day, but I have been outside in below zero temperature, waiting for the bus. It stings so bad! And there was so much snow that November that my dad took 6 hours to drive home from work, which was only about 45 minutes away.
Were you able to get outside after that? Or were you snowed in?
I've never even seen a tornado, that's how rare it is over here! And we once got over 20 inches of snow. It almost reached the high fence outside.
But Colorado is landlocked. And besides, he didn't even build it for us; he built it for Maine! I found out how much of Colorado's money it took to build that thing: $188,000. Haha, we never get any horrible natural disasters over here. The mountains keep us safe. A blizzard now and then is common, but never hurricanes, earthquakes, or the likes. But we have getting thunderstorms and a few tornadoes recently...
Maybe it's just all part of his dream to bring tons of fresh lobster over to Colorado. But to do that, he needed to get closer to the ocean. And he wanted to lobster to be huge and juicy, so he created the institution for that sole purpose. Fresh... beautiful lobster. Oh well, at least when California is ripped away from the US by a huge earthquake you won't have the Governator ruling over you. >_>
I heard that he was mad enough to invest a ton of Colorado's tax money towards building a lobster institute... for Maine! He wasted our money for an idiotic reason that was not even in Colorado. There is nothing genius about that, now is there?

I guess. But we have the worst senator! We got that Mark Udall guy for senator! He is seriously crazy: the guy wasted his money to build a park, a theater, and a lobster institute! All of which are NOT in Colorado!
It's sort of funny how California is actually pretty important, LA and San Francisco and all, but we don't really have a title that hits you hard. I guess having the Governator on our side counts for something... right?
