Curse that homework! Ah well. There's always other days that you can boost up that number for me. =D You hate the cold, but you live in Colorado? You must be miserable when it's the winter months. I'm evil, but only if need be. =P Don't give me a reason to, and I won't. Mwahahahaha! I checked out some of the banner work, and most of them seemed to be designed by the same person. I guess they own that site or they're just a big contributer? Anyway, I got a pretty good idea about some new banners, and I even made myself a new one! I like it a lot. I don't think that site had any tutorials for GIMP, but there's a ton of sites that do, so I can just check those out. *sigh* Maybe someday, I'll actually invest in a program like photoshop. I think your backgrounds are really great! You have the exact opposite of my problem though. I think my backgrounds look too plain, while you think yours look too busy. I played with Emboss and Bevel a little bit. Emboss made everything look like it was sketched out in pen and ink. I really liked Bevel though! It made everything look more dimensional, if that makes any sense.
Uhm., actually, I think that was me. xD I was going to make it 10,000, but I had homework. Hahaha! You know how I hate the cold, Dodie. xD No need for absolute zero. =P There's no immense heat scale, though, is there? Oh, my God, you are evil, woman. =O DOn't you blackmail me for ANYTHING, all right? Or I'll have to...*evil chuckles* I think I'll follow some tutorials so I can apply more skills to my work. I especially love their lighting effects on that site. Oh, those are great effects! =D The thing that I can never get enough creativity or inspiration enough with is how to add designs to a background or how to make a background not too...wild.
Someone must have been bored, because that number is shooting up rather quickly. Not saying it was you though. =P I suppose it does get kinds of tricky if you think about it for a while. You know what we should do instead? Use kelvins. Scientists use that method no matter what nationality they are. Problem solved. Yeah, it'll come in handy when I take a screen capture when someone says something funny in MSN chat. YAY! Blackmail! I was looking around, and DD mainly deals with design using Photoshop. That's cool if you have it, but I don't. It was still awesome to see all the works that people put up for my viewing pleasure. =3 My favorite effects so far are color change, starburst, and soften. I haven't had the chance to play with GIMP some more, but hopefully I'll get some inspiration to give it another go.
One more, then? =D I should if I get bored, just for the hell of it. xD Yeah, I'm used to it now. I just find the scale strange. I mean, Celsius is just 100, as opposed to 2...32? ><; Haha, there you go! Screenshots are useful, aren't they? Fun, too. Still, some people there are amazing. And Divine-Designs is just breathtaking. But I'm not on there. Yep, yep! That's my way of fading; I don't know what other ways there are to fade. But it's a really nice effect! =D I think lighting is, too.
You're always doing favors for me. Actually, I sort of prefer Fahrenheit over Celcius, but I suppose that's because the way I was taught. I looked online, and saw that I had to just paste it to a paint page and save it after hitting the prtscrn key. I guess I just wasn't following her direction very well. Hooray! I have clear quality picture shots now! Good. Stay here and don't leave us. EVER. TFF is much better than some silly graphic design forum anyway. Is that how you get it to look faded? By lowering the Opacity? There's so much that I need to learn.
I can get it for you in an hour. 8] XD Or why the U.S. uses degrees Fahrenheit instead of degrees Celsius? xD And I just hate the English measurements system. Metric's better; you just have powers of ten. What kind of keyboard are you using? I'll go over it with you. =D Yep, yep! I was considering joining a graphic design forum, but I couldn't find very good ones. Still, the feedback i get from just the few people here is very, very great, though. I won't ever fully escape my signature glow style, I don't think. xD But maybe I should set Opacity to something less than 100% from now on on certain things? =3
Haha... I wonder how long that will take? ;P I could use either one really, but I sort of wish that people who don't use American English would stop saying that we're doing it wrong, and vice-vera. They're both correct. Get over it. Still don't understand why we drive on the right side of the road while the rest of the world drives on the left. I don't think I have a screenshot button... Either that, or I just don't know where it's located. Gypsy tried explaining it to me, but I found it easier to just use my webcam. I wish I got better quality though. I saw VMM and Treize's critique of your work. They had some good criticism, but I think that you already knew that you had to work on some of that. It's good that you got some more feedback though. How can you improve if you don't get evaluations on your work? Mmmhmm. It's good to not have too much going on, or the eyes would be too distracted to focus. I think you should keep your trademark glow look, but it's good that you decided to cut it down a bit.
Whoo-hoo! Congrats! XD Now to cross the 10,000, right? =D I guess the colonies really didn't like England, so they completely ignored their language and made their own variation? xD Still, I like the the British's better. =3 Picture which I'll have forever? =P Nuh-uh, I just used the screenshot button on my keyboard to take that picture, and then cropped off that portion. They also have some of the best tutorials I've seen anywhere! =D They are divine, aren't they? I need to learn text. I'm getting better, I think, at steering away from over-design and over-glow. xD
HUZZAH!!! My page has hit the 5000 visits mark! I wonder why American english is different like that from Standard english? I mean, I wonder why we don't spell things like color and favorite as "colour" and "favourite"? Is it so our youngsters would pick up spelling words easier? Haha... You have the picture to prove it too. x3 Btw, I have a webcamera, but when I take snapshots of stuff on the computer, it's not as clear as what you all have. Did you zoom in to capture that image? Oh, that's a nice site that you linked to! I have it favorited. I might check out some more stuff that's there, because it might inspire me with some of my own banner work! I suppose the brightness would have overpowered the transparency effect, so good call!
Oh, I love it when Choco changes color! And I totally agree with that. I never used the Invincible again after I got my gold Chocobo. =D I should really get the ENGLISH spellchecker, though, instead of the AMERICAN ENGLISH one. It corrects me for spelling colour like this. xD I should advertise it and go, "All hail, the great Dodie, she who continued to post even after being banned for life!" xD I remember that very first title; it sticks to my head. xD But the Clever? one was the one that I was trying to recall. That's what I though, too. But maybe I shouldn't do lyrics, just some text. I use to hate that option, though, because it doesn't look good with rectangular avatars and big banners. =3 You wanna see what inspired me? These avatars are amazinghttp://www.divine-designs.net/avatars/avatars.php Hahaha, told you that you were nosey! XD And thanks! I tried out the new style for that one, and I toned down the brightness, too. =3
I loved everything about Chocobo Hot and Cold. x3 Especially once you find the chocographs that lead you to where you get a new ability for your chocobo! Once you got him to fly, it was the best way to travel. I tried to use spellchecker for one of my posts, but apparently I don't have something downloaded to my computer in order for it to work properly. :/ Oh, well. I guess I can just keep doing it myself, and if I mess up, I'll fix it if I catch it. Ahahaha! Nice. I think you might have been the only one to catch it though, which is probably a good thing. My previous user title was Onion Knight. I wanted a change, but I couldn't think of anything. I really wanted something Okami-inspired, but my mind drew a blank as to what I wanted. Yes. One-Winged Angel is in Latin. And yeah, I don't think it would fit Reno very well. Bevel and emboss, eh? I'll keep that in mind for when I want to play in GIMP for a while. I like the transparency effect a lot! I want to figure out how to do it with GIMP, because I'm thinking I want a new Banner in my sig. Btw, I like the avatar that you did for FFIXFreak. Haha.. Yeah, I saw it. I was being nosey.
I just loved it whenever I got a Chocograph! It felt sooooo satisfying, doesn't it? And remember those Broken Chocograph pieces? I think they provided a good mystery, of sorts, too. Yeah, it sucks. It just doesn't give it a red underline anymore. I was added an incorrect word by accident, and the spellchecker wouldn't correct me for it anymore. =P Hahaha, that happens for me a lot, too. And especially with the I's and all. xD Oh, I totally did! xD Heh-heh, how you truly are amazing if you dodged a ban, and even more so, a PERMANENT ban. =D Oh, yeah, that as it. I couldn't remember what your previous user title was. Hmm, that's where I was struggling with. What songs are there in FFVII? I know One-Winged Angel, but that's like Latin, right? And it's for Sephiroth. Heehee, Bevel and Emboss option. =D I'm going to start transpenrt avatars now; they seem really, really cool.
EXACTLY!!! Everyone is crazy about that Triple Triad game in FF VIII, and I'm like, "No. That was boring. Play Chocobo Hot and Cold instead. It's like hunting for treasure, because that's what you were doing. Who doesn't like hunting for treasure? Plus if you get a chocograph, that's when the real fun starts!" It doesn't? I thought it did. :/ Ahahaha... I was hoping I fixed it before you saw. Sometimes, my fingers type faster than my brain can proofread what I have written, so mistakes are gonna happen. xD Oh you did! Hahaha... I actually forgot that I changed it to that, and I made a couple of posts as a "permanantly banned" member of the forums. xDDD Nah, that seems too obvious. I wanted something clever, but I couldn't think of anything, so I just have it as: Clever? I thought that one was the best that I found too. No problem. What song would you use? That's one of my problems with using lyrics, is that I can't think of the right song to use. 3-d avatars! That would be awesome! I don't think anyone has anything like that. I think that there is a thread made that is just for yooo!!!
I loved it, too, and I absolutely loved Chocobo Hot and Cold. Best mini-game ever! And adding words doesn't put them in the suggestions, either. Hey, no fair; you fixed your typo. xD I was going to correct you. =P Hahaha, I saw it, and I saved a shot of it, too. xD Do Sephy-Crazed Fangirl or something like that. X3 I love that third one. Thankies! Maybe I could fade lyrics somewhere, too. Hehe, I <3 Ziddy. And my avatar is three 3-D parts now: Maqui, my name, and..the right. xD I may start that theme
Haha... Yeah. I liked the friendly monsters in IX. That quest was really fun. =D I find it funny that the spell checker on a Final Fantasy site would say that Sephiroth was spelled incorrectly, but I suppose TFF doesn't have it's own words updated in the spellchecker. I just did...and it works! XDDDDD Should I keep it like that? Or change it? I can never think of an interesting title. EDIT:: I changed it back. I didn't want to look like I was copying darkViVi. Abstract is good. You could also use some of his quotes. Here's some: Looks like today we're clockin' out early. Sector 8 is Turks jurisdiction, slick. A pro isn't someone who sacrifices himself for his job. That's just a fool. We may be retreating, but we're still victorious! Haha.. I bet you'll enjoy making that Zidane avatar. I don't think it looks weird. You put a box around Maqui's head though. ?_?
